Dr. Johnson
Owner and Veterinarian
Dr. Johnson has been a member of the academy of veterinary medical practice for 11 years. He has taken special courses and studies to be able to do echocardiograms and ultrasound studies. Dr. Johnson has also taken training to identify tumor cells and other changes from samples taken. He over-sees a very active oncology caseload at our hospital. He is a graduate from the University of Minnesota for both his Bachelor of Arts, and doctorate in veterinary medicine. Dr. Johnson studied surgical oncology for two years at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Johnson also worked two years for the University of Minnesota Cardiovascular research department. He has studied reproduction at Colorado State University and surgery in Texas.
Dr. Gierke
Veterinarian
Dr. Gierke joined Blue Sky Animal Hospital in December, 2000. She graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998, after which she practiced for two years in Chicago, Illinois, where her caseload consisted of a large number of exotic and avian pets. She now offers medical care for avian, reptile, and exotic mammal patients, in addition to traditional canine and feline pets.
