Follow this another 2 miles and the building is located on the west side of the street. From the Arvada, Westminster area: Take 80th street west to Alkire Street (where they are building the new high school), turn north on Alkire. Alkire will curve west and become 82nd Street. ABOUT US The Menagerie Veterinary Hospital is located in west Arvada, in one of the neighborhood's oldest and most recognizable buildings. The big red building on Indiana Street has been here since 1898, and has been home to a grocery store, fire department, feed store and many other endeavors over the years. After a face lift, it became the home of our veterinary hospital in 1997. The staff at The Menagerie Veterinary Hospital is dedicated to providing our patients and their families with excellent medical and surgical care, as well as emotional support. We feel that each of our patients become part of our family and that their owners become our friends. Dr. Glassman has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1990, but knew from childhood that this was her dream and her calling. When remodelling the building at 7851 Indiana Street, her goal was to create a warm and comforting enviroment for her patients. Glory Halterman has been on staff as a veterinary assistant since 1998. She graduated in 1998 with a degree in biochemistry and is currently applying to veterinary school. We are very fortunate to have her on staff. Her caring, concern and gentleness is evident in all of her interactions with the patients, parents and staff members. Mel Klomp joined the staff in the summer of 1999 as a veterinary assistant. She has several years experience working with animal shelters and animal care facilities. She brings a dedication to high quality patient care and a thoroughness to her duties which ensures each of her charges receive the best attention possible. Our youngest staff member is Lara Johnston, our kennel assistant. Lara is 16 years old and hopes to become a veterinarian herself one day. She began volunteering at the hospital in the summer of 1998 and quickly became an indispensable member of our team.
