Dr. Joanne Gaines
Veterinarian
Dr. Gaines is a Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine graduate. She has been practicing in the Omaha area since 1999 and opened Ridgeview in 2001. She is scheduled M-Th 8-3, F 8-12 and every other Saturday. She is a member of NAVM and AVMA. Her vision is to exceed your expectations. Your pet will receive the highest quality of medicine, anesthesia, surgery, and care. It is important to her that you are comfortable with how we treat you and your pets. You are welcome to be present for treatment, exam, vaccinations, blood draws, etc. We are proud of our facility and would be pleased to give a tour behind-the-scenes! Please stop by and meet Dr. Gaines and tour our hospital!
Dr. Gaines and her husband, Adam, have five children: Jack, Lucy, Vivien, Jay, and Eddie. They are foster parents, so may have more than 5 kids at any given time. They also have 2dogs; Tinkerbell and Tex; 1 cat, Melly; and 1 fish, Bubbles.
Dr. Jennifer Knope-Simpson
Veterinarian
Dr. Knope-Simpson is a full-time associate veterinarian, also receiving her degree from Kansas State University in 2005. She loves medicine and surgery and enjoys pets of all ages! She is off on Mondays. She is very enthusiastic . Dr. Knope-Simpson has interests in senior pet care, surgery, and exotics. She will help you with early diagnosis and prevention of diseases in your older pets. She is very skilled in surgery. She is married to Phil.
Dr. Corinna Bell
Veterinarian
Born and raised in Bellevue, Nebraska, Dr. Bell completed her undergraduate work at Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2005. She went on to Kansas State University for her veterinary medical degree, graduating in May 2009 and joining our staff in June 2009. She has Tuesdays off. She is excited to be home in Nebraska! Dr. Bell enjoys working with exotic pets, as well as cats and dogs. She and her husband, Sean, have 2 spoiled cats - Ripley and Oliver, a Great Dane named Sydnie, and a Brussels named Evie.
Shannon
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Shannon is a licensed veterinary technician, graduating from Curtis Veterinary Technician School and has been with us since 2001. Her technical skills are incredible! She is knowledgable and friendly and also works as our Inventory Manager. Dr. Gaines and Shannon worked together prior to opening Ridgeview. She has two dogs, Emma and Stella. She has two sons, Gavin and Malik.
Lacee
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Lacee is an experienced licensed veterinary technician. She graduated from Northeast Community College's Veterinary Technician school in 2002. She has excellent technical skills and is very knowledgable, and also serves as our Safety Coordinator. She has been on our team since 2003. Lacee has 2 cats and 1 chinchilla.
Krystal
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Krystal has been on our staff since July 2007 and received her degree from Vatterott College. She works mainly with Dr. Knope-Simpson and enjoys working with clients and patients. Krystal especially loves puppies and has 2 cats of her own, Zee and Chutney.
Lori
Licensed Veterinary Technician
A graduate of Vatterott College, Lori started in March 2008 and loves being a technician at Ridgeview! Her love of animals led her to switch careers from hairstyling. Lori has 4 children, 2 dogs and 2 cats.
Joy
Licensed Veterinary Technician
A native of Minnesota, Joy has been a technician since 2003. She completed her course work at Vatterott College, and has gained experience at different clinics in Omaha. She has great technical skill and is a JOY to have! She has 5 cats, 2 dogs and a horse named Dakota.
Charlene
Head Receptionist
Charlene has been with us since 2003. She mainly works at the front desk, but is skilled throughout the clinic. You will find it a pleasure to speak with her on the phone. She also helps make your pet feel comfortable while staying with us! She and her husband have 2 children, 1 grandchild, and several pets.
Rhoda
Receptionist
Rhoda spent years working with her husband in the plumbing business and raising kids, but has jumped into veterinary medicine! She really has a passion for customer care. She and her husband, Mike, have 2 kids and 2 dogs.
Megan
Receptionist
Megan has two dogs, Daisy and Jazmyn. She is the gentle, kind voice answering the phone and helping you at the front desk. She is a valuable member of our team!
Adam
Office Manager
Adam is the manager of the clinic and the grooming facility. He helps in most aspects of the practice and is our go-to guy. Receiving his BS in Operations Management from Kansas State University in 1996, he joined the practice in 2005 after a career in manufacturing. He is married to Dr. Gaines.
Kim
Groomer
Kim has been grooming pets since 2003, and was here at the start of Ridgeview's groom shop. She loves working with dogs getting them clean and tidy for our clients. She has 2 sons Josh and Michael, along with 2 dogs and a cat.
Jenny
Groomer
Jenny has been working in the groom shop since 2006, and has 3 dogs- Marvin, Creasy, and Matilda.
She is getting married this year.
