Jean Krason, DVM
Veterinarian
I graduated from Virginia Tech in 1988 and received my veterinary degree from Cornell University in 1991. I began practicing in the Nothern Virginia area where I met my husband. In 1993, we moved to the Charlottesville area where we married and lived for six years.
I love working on dogs, cats, and small mammals. I pride myself on providing the highest quality of medicine no matter the size of the pet and I have a strong interest in the human-animal bond. I try to maintain and strenghten that bond by providing puppy socialization and obedience classes, and counseling for problem behaviors.
Interest in internal medicine and dentistry round out my profile. I am able to help you manage chronic conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and kidney failure, as well a performing dental procedures, such as root canals and restorations. This allows us to keep your whole pet in the best of health.
In my free time, I enjoy astronomy, camping, hiking, and playing with my two daughters.
Rick Krason, DVM
Veterinarian
After eight years at The Ohio State University, I am a true Buckeye at heart, but I moved to Virginia to start my veterinary career and be closer to my family. My wife and I decided to join forces in our own family oriented practice where our complementary interests allow us to provide the best posible service to our clients.
I have extensive experience treating birds, reptiles, amphibians and even fish! I provide medical and surgical treatment for all exotic pets, in addtion to our dog and cat friends.
I especially enjoy surgery, cancer therapy, and working with our geriatric patients. Additional training in specialized fields such as orthopedics, ophthalmology and cancer therapy allow me to provide the best possible care for your pet's whole life, from birth, through adulthood, and into the senior years.
I love camping, hiking, and fishing with my family, as well as taking my girls for rides in our restored 1960 Corvette.
