Gretchen Bassett, D.V.M.
Owner/Veterinarian
Endoscopy, Senior Care and Critical Care
Gretchen and her husband Todd Bassett are the owners of Arvada Flats Veterinary Hospital. They both were raised in Arvada, graduating from Pomona and Arvada West. Todd, although not a veterinarian, can be found frequently at the clinic as the business manager.
Gretchen earned her veterinary doctorate from Colorado State Univeristy in Ft. Collins. There she trained in all aspects of veterinary medicine including internal medicine, cardiology, emergency medicine, exotics and surgery. Prior to veterinary school she received her undergraduate degree from CU in Boulder. Although she roots for the CU-Buffs she also remains a CSU-Ram fan. This is difficult in late September when the two teams go head-to-head.
Dr. Bassett enjoys practicing medicine from an overall wellness perspective. She believes in yearly thorough physical exams at which time she dedicates herself to getting to know your pets and its possible health concerns. She believes that pets are members of the family and therefore puts their health and comfort first through preventive medicine and client communication.
Todd and Gretchen both strive to make Arvada Flats a compassionate family atmosphere where your pet's healthcare needs are provided for through a quality, well trained staff who are compassionate and dedicated to answering your pet's care concerns. Every member of the Arvada Flats team has four-legged furry friends at home, therefore when your pet visits our clinic we strive to treat it lovingly as if it were our own.
