Dr. McCall grew up in western Illinois. After graduation from Mississippi State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991, he married Molly in 1994. He worked in Peoria for four years and Decatur for one year before joining Capitol Illini in 1996. He has two children, Amanda and Sean, and one cat named Brisco. The family is planning on getting a puppy in the future. His hobbies are golf, golf, and golf.

Employed at Capitol Illini since 1989, currently working part-time at the Chatham hospital.
Has a special interest in animal behavior and emergency medicine. Teaches Basic First Aid and Veterinary Care to the Illinois State Police canine classes.


Lives at home with husband, Todd, sons Quinn and Riley and a 3rd son due in March.
Enjoys spending time with her family including Golden Retriever, Magnum, German Shepherd police dog, Rakker, 2 cats, and a hamster.

Jenni Brewer

Pamela Edwards
Bookkeeper
Pam has been at Capitol Illini for 14 years due to her love for animals. She is longtime married to best friend, Don for 27 years with 2 children, Matthew and Kate. She enjoys all of the pets that come through the clinic, big or small, old or young.
Pets at home:
Welsh Pembroke Corgi: Hayden Fox
English Springer: Zak, who's favorite past-time is hunting with her husband.
2 barn cats and 12 registered Pygmy Goats. When the weather is nice, she and the goats travel around Illinois to the State and county fairs. Pam is also a Mary Kay consultant in her spare time.

Christal Hamilton
Receptionist
Christal returned to Capitol Illini in October, 2000. She was previously employed here for 6 1/2 years before pursuing other opportunities for 3 years in between. She has 3 horses, 3 dogs and about 9 cats, give or take. Several squirrels and wild birds, and on occasion, an oppossum or raccoon drops by to visit for dinner. Her hobbies include writing poetry and swimming. Her favorite movie is "Sergeant York" with Gary Cooper and she is also a big John Wayne fan.

Gail Zappo
Surgical Assistant
Gail has 22 years experience in the veterinary field. She received "in-house"
veterinary training in Pennsylvania with a previous employer.
Her employment began at Capitol Illini in 1992, and she became the surgical assistant in 1994 with an emphasis in orthopedic surgery.
