Dr. Richard Smits
Owner and Veterinarian
The Cedar Creek Veterinary Clinic was established in November of 1978. Dr. Smits is a graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine.
He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA)
as well as the Indiana and N.E. Veterinary Medical Associations.
Additional memberships include the American Veterinary Dental Society
and the Cornell Feline Health Center.
Ann Smits
Office Manager
Dr. Smits' wife, Ann, is the office manager.
The Smits have 3 dogs: "Bunker" is a Boston Terrier, "Emma" is a Weimaraner, and "Snickers" is a Chuhuahua. In addition they have a Cornish Rex cat, "Indola", who lives at the clinic.
Melanie Tisdale
Receptionist
Melanie is more than likely the person who will answer the phone and greet you as you enter the clinic. She will also help you as you check out and answer any questions you may have.
Melanie has a Bichon named "Riley".
Jenni Greaf
Veterinary Assistant
Jenni is a college student interested in Veterinary Medicine. She assists Dr. Smits with surgeries and procedures as well as in the examination room and the lab. She also helps out at the front desk.
Jenni has 2 dogs: "Bubba" is a pitbull and "Jasmine" is a white boxer.
Becky Jacquay
Veterinary Assistant
Becky is an RN and assists Dr. Smits with surgeries and procedures.
Becky has 3 English bulldogs: "Otis" who is a male champion, his mother, "Violet", and thier newest addition is "Myrtle".
Sydney Warren
Veterinary Assistant
Sydney also works at the clinic assisting Dr. Smits and helping at the front desk.
Sydney has many pets including 3 border collies ("Sweeney", "Yaney" and "Poe"), and 4 cats ("Kaiser", "Piper", "Rudolph", and "Rosilyn").
Christina Rogers
Ward Tech
Christina is the newest member to our team. She, too, will be starting college in the fall looking forward to a career in Veterinary Medicine.
Christina has a Shih-tzu named "Sierra".
