Dr. Gerald Greco
Veterinarian/Owner
Dr. Greco is a co-founder of Chews Landing Veterinary Hospital. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine 1975. He also has a B.S. in Animal Science from Penn State University 1971.
Dr. Greco started his career in veterinary medicine in 1975 as an associate at Princeton Animal Hospital. In 1976 he joined the staff at Sterling Veterinary Associates in Stratford, N.J. where he later became co-owner. Dr. Greco was also an associate at the Clementon Animal Hospital/Associated Veterinary Emergency Service 1993-2000. He is a member of AVMA, NJVMA, and SJVMA.
The brain child of Drs. Greco and Wray, Chews Landing Veterinary Hospital opened our door on November 3, 2000 after 4 months of renovations to the building. Much of the construction was performed by them, family and friends.
Dr. Greco's interests include Veterinary Dermatology, Behavior, Dentistry, Feline Endocrinology, Preventative Medicine and client education.
Dr. Greco is the proud husband of Stephanie and doting father of Michael and his wife Lori, Jason, Gina, and 4 furry felines. He became a grandpop to Mikayla in June 2004 and Evelyn in 2009.
Dr. Greco is actively involved in horticulture, which includes his tireless efforts to beautify the practice's property. He also played organized baseball (not softball) in an over 50 league (including an all-star tournament in Cooperstown, NY), and enjoys model railroading (currently re-doing much of HO layout first built in 1983).

Dr. Mark Wray
Veterinarian/Owner
Dr. Wray is a 1981 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Wray is a co-founder of Chews Landing Veterinary Hospital taking on the practice management responsibilities requiring endless hours to assure the daily operations run smoothly and our practice mission in achieved.
 
He was born and raised in South Philadelphia graduating from Bishop Neumann High School in 1967. From 1968 through 1972, Dr. Wray served in the United States Air Force which included a tour through Southeast Asia. In 1972, Dr. Wray attended the Pennsylvania State University graduating in 1976 with a Bachelors degree in Animal Science. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1981. Dr. Wray joined a local practice and emergency service in 1984 leaving after 19 years to help build a practice that reflects his philosophies. Dr. Wray is a member of AVMA, NJVMA, , and the PVMA.

Presently, Dr. Wray has four furry friends - two set of brothers -  Mutt and Jeff  -  Burt and Ernie. All were stray kittens that have now bonded and taken over their new home. 

Dr. Wray was an actiive Philadelphia Mummer for over 39 years holding various offices in the Mummers Association, Fancy Division Association, and Hog Island New Years Association. In Hog Island Fancy Club, he held the position of Assistant Captain for 12 years before taking on the prestigious position of Captain where he won a record breaking nine consecutive 1st Place Captain awards. Due to the increased demands of the practice he had to give up the captaincy in 2002 and retired for active status in 2004.

Currently, Dr. Wray's hobbies include woodworking, creative welding, electronic, and trying never before attempted projects such as hardscaping, landscaping, etc.

Dr. Katherine Barrett
Veterinarian, DVM
Dr. Barrett graduated from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She has been an associate veterinarian of Chews Landing since 2002. She had worked for two other hospitals but left to join a practice that reflects her philosophies. Dr. Barrett is a member of AVMA, AAHA, NJVMA, and Omega Tau Sigma.
Dr. Barrett was raised and schooled in and around the Trenton area. She received her B.A. degree in Communication and Literature from Ramapo College of N.J. and went on to study Animal Science at Rutgers University-Cook College prior to starting her doctorate. 
She is the proud parent of 4 four-legged and furry children: Joseph, Jake (blind min pin) and Spot  (black and white cat).
Her hobbies include a passionate interest in volleyball, swimming, summer softball,  rollerblading (although she has yet to master braking). She is also a certified Red Cross Swim Instructor.

Dr. Joseph (Jack) Gruber
Veterinarian, VMD
Dr. Gruber is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine. He is the original founder of Clementon Animal Clinic (later renamed) and has practiced in the area for the past 40 years. He is a member of AVMA, NJVMA, and SJVMA. Jack lives in Clementon and is active in many of the town's commissions and committees. His hobbies are bird watching, gardening, and working to improve the environment. But his most important hobby is being Pop-Pop to his three grandchildren. Jack will be practicing with us part-time on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Dr. Dannielle M. Moreno
Veterinarian, DVM
Dr.Moreno is a 2005 graduate of Oklahoma State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. She joined the Chews Landing Veterinary Hospital family in January 2008. She has worked at a couple of other veterinary practices, but wanted to find one that best suits her professional philosophies. She has also been a member of the AVMA since 2001 and NJVMA since 2005. Dr.Moreno lived in parts of NJ, PA, and CT while growing up. She graduated from Milton Hershey School in Hershey,PA in 1996. She received her double major BS degrees in Animal Science and Pathobiology from the University of Connecticut in 2001. Dr. Moreno met her husband Pete (who originally hails from Texas) in veterinary school, and the two of them accepted their doctorates together as the "Drs. Moreno" in 2005 and moved to NJ.
Dr. Moreno's professional interests include cardiology, behavior, small animal exotics, and the human-animal bond. She has six in her furry family - 3 cats; Pi, Sophie, and Glory, and 3 dogs: Storm, Spud, and Phoebe (the Pug who presently runs the place). Her hobbies include cooking, shopping, taking long walks with the dogs, and playing the piano.

Dr. Derek H. Wineburgh
Veterinarian, DVM
Dr. Wineburgh graduated from the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007.  His clinical studies were completed at Purdue University with a surgical externship at the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital.  After graduation he completed a small animal medicine, emergency and surgical internship at Hollywood Animal Hospital in south Florida where he remained on staff.
After working at several large referral and emergency hospitals, Dr. Wineburgh decided to move back home and focus his career on practicing high quality medicine in an intimate environment conducive to client communication and education.  His special interests include soft tissue surgery, wound management, cardiology, and general internal medicine.
In his free time Dr. Wineburgh enjoys going to the beach, playing golf, horticulture, and being with his family, friends, and pets.
