David Reed Claunch, D.V.M.
Veterinarian/Owner
Dr. Claunch started as an associate with the practice in 1990, purchasing the clinic when the original owner decided to retire in 1992. Dr. Claunch grew up in Kentucky, and went to Veterinary school at Auburn University. He spent some time in chilly New York working on horses before moving to Florida. He now practices medicine on horses, cats, dogs, along with the occasion bird, rabbit and ferret!
Marilyn Maler, D.V.M.
Veterinarian
Dr. Maler started with the clinic in 1999 fresh from the University of Florida Veterinary School. She works with dogs, cats, and horses. Dr. Maler is a native Floridian with several dogs, cats and horses of her own.
Dolly DeCara
Receptionist
Dolly has been with the clinic since 1994 and her smile is usually the first thing clients see when they walk in the door. Dolly shares her home with three dogs of her own and treats every patient as if they were one of hers!
Judy Vlasaty
Receptionist
Judy has been with the clinic since 1998, greeting clients and fielding phone calls. She enjoys riding horses (which has made her very popular among our equine clientele!) and has a dog of her own.
Gail Lewandowski
Veterinary Technician
Gail has been with the clinic since 1995, and is Dr. Claunch's "Girl Friday"! She has a very soothing way with animals, so soothing that at last count she had around 40 living on her farm! She keeps very busy tending to her critters, which include cats, dogs, sheep, goats, and cows!
Jackie Manfredi
Veterinary Technician
Jackie has been an asset to the clinic since 1997, moving up from the kennel to veterinary technician throughout the years. She has recently taken up horseback riding, and joins some of the staff and clients on their outings.
Allison Cook
Kennel Attendent/Technician/Receptionist
Allison has been working in the kennel taking care of our "guests" since January 2000. She keeps everyone comfortable and happy in the kennel, and is currently working as a technician and helping out at the front desk. Allison has one dog and several cats, and is working toward her nursing degree!
Kelly Cox
Kennel Attendent
Kelly has been with the clinic since 2000. A hardworker, she is always willing to pitch in when needed, and all the regular boarders are always happy to see her when they come to stay.
Nick Guile
Kennel Manager
Nick has been with the clinic since 2001. He has a dog of his own, and works very hard to ensure that all boarders and hospital patients are cared for as he would care for his own pet. The kennel is in good hands with Nick!
