Dr. Rhonda C. Phillips

Veterinarian/Owner

Dr. Phillips is a 1988 graduate of Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She then practiced at Lover's Lane Animal Hospital for two years and did other relief work for four years while starting a practice in Royse City.
She finally opened Country Friends Veterinary Clinic in June of 1996. After six years of practicing in a 900 sq. foot house-turned-clinic, she built a new clinic that is over 3000 sq. foot. Dr. Phillips has been in Royse City for eleven years. She says, "I love living here and working here and have the best staff in the world!"
She is involved in the community by serving on the Board of Trustees for Royse City ISD and is also very active at First United Methodist Church of Royse City. She also volunteers at Scott Elementary School where her son, Ryon, attends. Ryon also keeps her busy (in addition to the routine life as a veterinarian) by playing soccer, swimimng, youth activities, and going out with friends.
And if she does not have enough to do, she has 2 dogs(Clint & Albert), 2 cats(Momma Kitty & J.J), 2 geese, multiple ducks, chickens, and a donkey named Dudley.

Dr. Archie Underwood

Relief Veterinarian

Dr. Underwood is a graduate of Texas A&M University of Veterinary Medicine.

Trish Tackett

Office Manager

Has been the office manager for Country Friends Veterinary Clinic for nearly 6 years. She has been in the veterinary field over 12 years and has been a part of Country Friends since the very early beginnings of the practice. She has worked in all areas of the practice helping to shape and expand the practice to where it is now.

Trey Colunga

Head Technician

Trey has been the head technician for Country Friends Veterinary Clinic for nearly 2 years. She works extremely hard to help educate and explain any situation to our clients. She has a very unique and gentle ability to handle pets and reassure clients during their visit to the doctor's office.
Pets and people love her!

Amanda Wood

Technician

Amanda has been working for Country Friends Veterinary Clinic for 4 years. Amanda came to Country Friends as a volunteer during her Sophmore year in High School and has been here ever since. She is now in college pursuing a veterinary career! We can hardly wait to see what excitement she will bring into the veterinary profession!

Cristy Colunga

Technician

Cristy has been working for Country Friends Veterinary Clinic for a little over 1 year.
She has come into the clinic with a warm smile and a willingness to learn and is developing skills at a rapid rate. We are extremely happy to have her working with us!

Debi Jacques

Receptionist

Debi has been working for Country Friends Veterinary Clinic for a little over 1 year. She was a client at the clinic when we found her and decided we had found a gold mine if we could get her to work for us! She has brought a large amount of organizational skills and new ideas to the staff at Country Friends. Debi has also brought a vast wealth of "cat" knowledge into our clinic since she has rescued, nursed back to health and become attatched to her 16+ cats!

Sean Jacques

Kennel Assistant

Sean has been working for Country Friends Veterinary Clinic for almost 1 year. Sean came to the clinic as a part-time, summer employee and has become a permanent part of our staff. Sean keeps us on our toes and maintains the title of "comic relief" around the clinic!

Ruth Johnson

Recordkeeper

Ruth has been working for Country Friends Veterinary Clinic for approximately 6 months. She is the person that allows the rest of us at the clinic to find any kind of paper work we can think of! She always has a kind word for clients or staff and helps us keep our perspective in times of chaos with her calm reassurance.

Loralie Sanchez

Receptionist

Loralie just recently started working for Country Friends Veterinary Clinic the middle of August 2002. We are excited to have another full time receptionist to help answer phones and client's questions, and to help with scheduling and follow ups.

Luigi DeGato

CFVC Security

Luigi has been with Country Friends Veterinary Clinic since the beginning of August. Luigi's story is that of a sad one. He never knew his father and was abondoned by his mother at Luigi's Cafe in Royse City (where Dr. Phillips and her son happened to be dining on that fateful night).
Luigi keeps the clinic safe from burglars and rodents. His duties at work include watching over the patients who come into CFVC and entertaining their families. So far he has done an excellent job, if we can only keep him from drinking out of the beta's fish bowl!

Pat Wichman

Kennel Assistant

Pat has just recently joined Country Friends Family in October 2002.
