ABOUT US Serving the community for over 20 years, Academy Animal Hospital has grown to be the heart of pet health care in Durham, NC. As a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, Academy Vet is qualified to bring you the best pet health facilities and services for your animals. Our hospital has been recognized as Member Hospital of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), since 1986. To achieve this distinction, our hospital voluntarily underwent a comprehensive inspection and complied with high AAHA hospital standards. These standards govern the quality of the facility, the equipment, practice methods, and management. In 1990, our hospital earned certified hospital status within AAHA--the highest attainable from the association. Only 10% of the veterinary hospitals in the United States are Member Hospitals.
