Our practice strives to be green. Current efforts in this goal are:
100% recycled paper products are used when available
Stainless steel sharps materials are recycled into pet food bowls
Plastic syringes are recycled into plastic bird toys
Paper recycling bins are located throughout the clinic
Styrofoam packing materials along with ice packs are donated to a local shipping service center
Biodegradable pet waste bags are used in our pet waste station
Old electronics are recycled monthly
Expired and unused pharmaceuticals are properly destroyed locally
Electronic medical record system is being phased in to reduce paper use
Florescent light bulbs are recycled
Efforts are made to reduce the amount of unwanted mail
On site water distillation reduces our consumption of plastic jugs
Paper cups have been eliminated from the water cooler
