Laser therapy is a non-invasive treatment which involves using our Companion Therapy Laser by LiteCure to enhance blood flow in inflamed areas. We have used it to treat arthritis, chronic back pain and disc disease, and skin conditions in a variety of patients. Please call to set up a consultation about how this new modality could help your pet. (back to top)
Our in-house laboratory allows us to run a wide range of routine screening tests while you wait, as well as to get results quickly for critical patients with our blood chemistry and blood count machines. We also do urinalysis, skin and ear cytologies, and some tumor analysis here. For more complex or less urgent cases, we send samples to Antech Diagnostic laboratory, and have most results the next day. (back to top)
We are equipped to offer surgeries ranging from "routine" major elective surgeries such as spaying (removing ovaries and uterus from females) and castrating dogs and cats, to more complicated abdominal surgeries and some orthopedics, including anterior cruciate ligament repair. All surgical patients first have screening bloodwork to alert us to any medical conditions that could increase their anesthetic risk, and have IV catheters in place for fluids and medications throughout the procedure, as well as being monitored by a dedicated technician until they are fully awake after the procedure. We also offer referrals to board-certified surgeons for procedures that are outside our expertise. (back to top)
We carry the full line of Hill's Prescription diets for dogs and cats, which enhance our management of a variety of conditions. In addition, we can order prescription diets from other companies as needed, including Purina, Iams, and Royal Canin. Please call to see what we have in stock or to set up a special order if needed. (back to top)
From medicated shampoos for varying skin disease, to VetKem products for flea control on animals and around the house, we have a variety of specialized grooming and pet care products. We also carry Frontline Plus for flea and tick control, and heartworm medications for cats and dogs (by prescription only). (back to top)
We have an x-ray generator and film processor to allow us to take radiographs here for diagnosis of many conditions, including tumors, pneumonia, heart disease and joint disease (arthritis). In addition, we contract with a board-certified veterinary radiologist, who comes to our hospital once a week on average to provide ultrasound services for dogs and cats and interpretation of abnormal x-ray films. A microchip is a permanent form of identification. A small chip encoded with a specific identifying number is placed under the animal's skin, and can be found by scanners which most hospitals, animal control units, and shelters have avaiable. Once registered, the owner's contact information is linked to this number in a nationwide database. (back to top)
