J.W. Wallis, DVM
A native of Lawrenceville, Dr Wallis worked for the founder of our practice, Dr. P.J. Wall through high school. He holds bachelors, master's and DVM degrees from the University of Georgia. His interests include general and orthopedic surgery as well as small animal reproductive medicine.
J.L Griffin, DVM
Born in Titusville, Florida, Dr. Griffin has lived in the Lawrenceville area since she was five years old. After graduating from Central Gwinnett Lawrenceville High School, she attended The University of Georgia where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences prior to earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Her interests include internal medicine and behavioral management.
T.A. Cook, DVM
A native of Tucker, Georgia, Dr. Cook attended the University of Georgia where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Health before receiving her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Her interests include general internal medicine as well as a special interest in wound healing and skin grafting.
M. J. Fant, DVM
A native of the Gainesville, Georgia area, Dr. Fant graduated from West Hall High School prior to attending North Georgia College and State University where she received a degree in Biology. She then earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at The University of Georgia. Her interests include behavioral management and general internal medicine.
Shawn has been a member of the Gwinnett Animal Clinic staff since 1981. She is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science. In addition to Shawn's responsibilities at Gwinnett Animal Clinic, she is actively involved in wildlife rehabilitation programs.
Margaret has been the surgery technician at Gwinnett Animal Clinic since 1996. She attended Tucker High School and has a family heritage in Gwinnett County that dates back before the Civil War. Margaret has five children, eight grandchildren and three dogs. Hobbies include gardening, reading, birdwatching, and caring for animals of all kinds. Her special interests are surgery and recovery. Alexis was born in North Carolina but has lived in Gwinnett County since 1991. She joined the Gwinnett Animal Clinic team in August, 2004. She was a U.S. Army military police officer prior to September 11. Both at work and during her leisure she utilizes her talents as an artist.
Brittany joined the team at Gwinnett Animal Clinic in 2007. Prior to joining our team she was a technician at other practices in our area. She is a native of Gwinnett County and is a graduate of Collins Hill High School.
Originally from Wisconsin, Cheri has been a member of our team since 2002. Cheri worked for a veterinary practice in Wisconsin for 8 1/2 years prior to moving to Georgia. At Gwinnett Animal Clinic, Cheri has worked as a receptionist in addition to technician duties.
Anna has served in several capacities as a team member at Gwinnett Animal Clinic. Anna started working at Gwinnett Animal Clinic as an animal care technician in our kennel before working as a receptionist, giving her a very broad overview and understanding of how to take care of our patients as well as their owners.
Karin has been part of our team since 2005. Prior to joining our team, she developed excellent customer service skills as a hair stylist and also in sales.
Animal Care Technician
Drew is a native of North Carolina. Drew attended Western Carolina University where he majored in Business Administration. Drew is also a very versatile caring member of our team and is a rabid Duke basketball fan.
Bob Animal Care Technician
Bob was born in Pensacola, Florida, but has lived in North Georgia since 1984. He is a graduate of West Hall High School. Bob is a very valuable and versatile member of our team as he cares for hospitalized and boarding patients.
