Dr. Tankersley recieved his doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1989. He went on to complete a surgical internship in Arcadia, California, and later a Chief of Surgery assignment at Banfield Pet Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Tankersley returned to Colorado in 1992 to work for Dr. Jack Makens from whom he purchased Hampden Veterinary Clinic ( now Hampden Family Pet Hospital ) in 1993. He enjoys golfing, fishing, skiing and photography.
Melani L. Poundstone DVM
Veterinarian - Owner
Dr. Poundstone received her Doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1989. She has also received her Diplomate status with the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. She practiced locally at Alameda East Veterinary hospital as an emergency room doctor and then as Dean of students at Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology. She is an active member of the Denver Area Veterinary Medical Society and enjoys working with high school students that have an interest in veterinary medicine. She spends any free time she has with her husband, daughter and two dogs.
Monica Watterud DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Watterud recieved her doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1989. She practiced in Southern California for 3 years before returning to Denver in 1992. She has greatly enjoyed the Denver area and is elated to be involved in a full-service veterinary practice. Favorite hobbies include communing with her 5 cats and 3 dogs, reading, and movie watching.
