Dr. Bill Armon
Dr. Bill Armon is a 1979 graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine holding a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. He also received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois College of Agriculture in 1972. He is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association as well as the Greater Saint Louis Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Armon has been associated for the past 20 years, with the St. Louis Wild Canid Survival and Research Center (Wolf Sanctuary) as a veterinary consultant involved in the research and preservation of wolves and other wild Canids. He has also served on the University of Missouri Extension Council of Jefferson County.
Dr. Armon owned and operated a veterinary practice in Fenton, Mo. from 1979 to 1994. He also opened and managed a veterinary practice in Edwardsville, Ill. from 1991 to the year 2000. Dr. Armon purchased High Ridge Animal Hospital in High Ridge in 1995 and remains as sole proprietor and primary veterinarian.
Along with his wife Sharon, Dr. Armon has 4 dogs, 3 horses, 2 donkeys, 2 cats and a flock of chickens. He and Sharon have 3 grown children. Dr. Armon is a member of the Fly Fishing Federation and a certified fly-casting instructor. He enjoys making authentic bamboo fly fishing rods. Other interests include horses, cooking photography and travel.
Dr. Donald Bridges
Dr. Donald Bridges is a 1971 graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine graduating with academic honors and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. He designed and built a new practice facility in Atchison Kansas which he owned and operated from 1975 to 1998. Dr. Bridges moved to St Louis in 1998 working two years for the Banfield Veterinary group as staff veterinarian. From 2000 to 2007, Dr. Bridges served as veterinarian and Director of Veterinary Services at the Humane Society of Missouri where he managed and set medical policies for a 19 doctor, American Animal Hospital Association certified practice. During that time he was primary veterinary consultant for the Humane Society shelter and oversaw the medical needs for society's rescues and investigations.
Dr. Bridges is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Missouri Veterinary Medical association and the Greater St. Louis Veterinary Medical Association. He has served on a pet-guardianship committee for the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association as well as an advisory committee for the City Shelter.
Along with his wife, Rae, he has 7 grown children and 3 grandchildren. Dr. Bridges has for many years dealt in antiques and collectibles. Other interests include fishing and camping and spending time with his grandchildren.
Staff
High Ridge Animal Hospital boasts an exceptional staff. A natural compassion for pets as well as an understanding of client/patient needs is a prerequisite for a position. High Ridge technicians and assistants are not only trained in routine patient care but are also able to professionally answer many patient questions as well as assist doctors in providing quality patient care.
Mary
Mary has been the office manager at High Ridge for the past 7 years. She is the clinic go-to person and excels in providing personalized service. Mary has a background in business and customer service. At home Mary cares for her Cairn terrier, George, and three cats, Itty, CeCe and her newest cat, Squeaky.
Theresa
Theresa has been a veterinary assistant at High Ridges since 2002. Theresa excels at patient care and client concerns. She is a primary surgical assistant and dental technician. Theresa cares for her dogs, Mia, Hershey and Keyla and cats, Izzy and Snickers.
Linda
Linda has been a veterinary assistant at High Ridge since 2003. Linda is a primary surgical assistant and dental technician specializing in customer service. She is the inventory manager for the practice and is in charge of product orders from our website. Linda has several pets of her own at home and often fosters stray or needy pets. She has an interest in sports and coaches a girl's basketball team.
Becky
Becky is the Pet Stylist (groomer) at High Ridge and also serves as veterinary assistant. Becky is a graduate of Midwest Veterinary Assistants school and the Missouri School of Cat and Dog Grooming. She is excellent with pets and does a wonderful job of grooming specializing in pet "styling" Outside interests include scrapbooking, biking and roller blading. Becky has 3 dogs and 3 cats at home as well as 2 turtles and a lizard.
Stephanie
Stephanie is the practice manager as well as one of our excellent veterinary assistants. Stephanie has a life-long association with veterinary medicine and shares our mission and purpose. She holds B.S. degree in history from Washington University here in St. Louis. Stephanie's outside interests include painting, photography and knitting. She loves horseback riding and is an equine trainer and riding instructor. Stephanie enjoys her family, which includes her three dogs, Leo, Lola and Ruben.
Dani
Dani is currently a veterinary assistant. She is a full-time student at Jefferson College in the Veterinary Technician program where she will graduate with degree as a licensed Veterinary Technician. Dani likes spending time with family and friends and watching old movies. She is an avid runner and enjoys playing with her 4 family dogs, Gracie, Lexie, Barkley and Heidi, and 1 cat, Harley.
Jessica
Jessica is a veterinary assistant. She is currently a full-time student at Jefferson College. She will be entering the Veterinary Technician's program next fall to earn a degree as a Veterinary Technician. Jessica enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching old movies and camping. She has 2 Cocker Spaniels at home, Lucky and Lucy.
