Ann T. Parker, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Ann Parker is a 1988 graduate of Ohio State University. After graduating she briefly worked in Wilmington, before moving to Fayetteville in 1989. She then took over HMRAH as the new owner in 1990. Currently Dr. Parker is on extended leave. She enjoys traveling, scrapbooking and flipping houses.
Melanie J. Silvious, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Melanie Silvious is orignally from upstate New York. In 1999, she moved to North Carolina to attend North Carolina State University-College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduating in 2003, she began practicing at HMRAH where she has remained to this day. She enjoys the day to day variety and challenges that come with practicing veterinary medicine. When not at work she enjoys riding her Harley and scuba diving.
Elizabeth A. Gray, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Elizabeth Gray is originally from western Kentucky, where the rest of her family still lives. She graduated from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. After graduation she worked in Lumberton with both small and large animals. In 1999, she started working at HMRAH. Then in 2001 moved to Greenville, NC. Fall of 2008 she was destined and happy to return to HMRAH. She has a son in grade school. Together they have a house with a variety of pets. Dr. Gray is enthralled with scuba diving and can be found underwater at every available opportunity. Dr. Gray is still fascinated with the wide assortment of medical and surgical cases seen on a daily basis here in our clinic.
Barbara
Business Manager
Barbara has been with HMRAH as the Business Manager since 1996. She moved to Fayetteville from Key West, Florida in 1989 and has been working in the Veterinary Management Field since that time. She finds working closely with clients and their pets very rewarding and could not imagine spending her workdays anywhere else. When not behind the front desk at the clinic she enjoys time spent at the beach.
Melody
Office Manager
Melody has been working in the veterinary field since 1986. First in Maryland, then 1 year at Animal Urgent Care, and finally here at HMRAH (since 1992). She has served in several capacities - kennel attendent, veterinary assistant, receptionist, and office manager. Melody is always ready to chip in in any area of the practice. She is pleased and willing to share her knowledge and expertise with both our staff and our clients. She and her husband, Brian, have both dogs and cats at home.
Anna & Heather
Receptionists
Anna was born in Zaragoza, Spain and has lived in Fayetteville for 2 years now. She started workin at HMRAH in March of 2008. One of Anna's talents is that she is fluent in Spanish. Anna is also currently attending FTCC and BCC for an Associates Degree in Science with the intention of pursuing vet school in the future. She has a Miniature Pinscher (Bella) and a Miniature Schnauzer (Nube). Both dogs are very hyper-active, lovable and amusing dogs.
Heather was born in Goldsboro, NC. She has lived in Fayetteville for 9 years now and has been working here at HMRAH since June of 2008. Heather is proficient in sign language. She loves what she does, meeting new people everyday and being around animals. Since Heather has been working here at HMRAH she has adopted 2 more dogs into her family, making a total of 3 dogs.
Victoria
Registered Veterinary Technician
Victoria was born in Misawa, Japan and has lived all her life in North Carolina. She attended North Carolina State University and graduated in 2001. She also attended Central Carolina Community College where she received her Associates Degree in Veterinarian Technology in 2004. Victoria has worked at HMRAH for 5 months. Currently she owns a Lab named Barkey, 2 fish, and a kitten named Whiskers. She has 2 children as well. In her spare time she enjoys watching football with her husband, reading a good novel, traveling and exercising.
Samantha, Brenda, Rebecca, & Terri
Veterinary Assistants
Samantha has worked at HMRAH going on 10 years now. She owns 4 dogs and 4 cats.
Brenda is from Greensboro, NC where she worked at Greensboro Veterinary Hospital for 2 years before coming to HMRAH. She has been working here at HMRAH for 7 years now. Brenda is married and a mother of 3 children. She has 3 dogs Dandy 7 yr old, Prada 2 yr old, and General 1 yr old and has no cats. Brenda looks forward to seeing you and your pets!
Rebecca was born and raised in Clarksville, TN. She attended University of Tennessee at Martin where she was on the Equestrian Team and Softball Team. She also attended Austin Peay State University. Rebecca worked at a vet clinic in Clarksville for 5 years and did an intership at the Nashville Zoo as a keeper, before moving to the Fayetteville area with her husband in January of 2007. She then started working at HMRAH in April of 2007. Rebecca and her husband have 1 daughter, 4 dogs (Smiley, Sable, Max & Stryder), and 1 cat (Santana). In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys traveling and visiting family, horseback riding, scrapbooking/card making, and hopes to have a farm someday.
Terri is orginially from Illinois. She moved to Hawaii, where she lived for 2 years. Whilc in Hawaii, Terri worked at Animal Clinic Waipahu for 8 months. She left Hawaii for North Carolina and has been working at HMRAH for a year now. Terri enjoys the atmosphere and working with animals. She has 2 dogs Kihara (a Pitbull mix) and Leilani (a Boxer). Terri is a BIG fan of Mustangs and in her spare time enjoys doing charity projects with her Mustang Club. She also loves to travel and visit family.
Gretta & Mary
Kennel Staff
Gretta has been here at HMRAH for over 3 years now. She has one dog named Pete and 2 children. She enjoys working with animals.
Mary was born in Madison, Wisconsin. She has 4 children, 2 dogs and 1 cat. Her parents have been clients of HMRAH for over 15 years and she has been working here since April 2008.
