Dr. Shawn Sette
Veterinarian/Hospital owner
Dr. Sette graduated from Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. He spent 5 years at the Kanawha Valley Animal Emergency Clinic in South Charleston. In June of 1998, he purchased Hurricane Animal Hospital. He enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine, and has a special interest in opthalomology and surgery. He also enjoys camping, boating, and outdoor sports.
Jennifer Tincher-Sette
Practice Manager
Jennifer, our Hospital Manager, has 12 years experience in the veterinary field. She enjoys both the business and medical aspects of veterinary industry. She is dedicated to providing our clientelle with the high quality service they deserve, and encourages you to update her with your ideas of how we can improve our hospital. She also enjoys horsebackriding, camping, boating, and hiking.
She has two dogs, two cats, and a beautiful baby girl named Katelyn.
Candace L. Kirk-Milam
Registered Veterinary Technician
Candy, our Registered Veterinary Technician, graduated from Morehead State University in May of 1999. She enjoys medical cases and surgery and has an intense love for all animals (from dogs to mice). She also creates our monthly newsletter and keeps our client handouts updated and full of educational materials.
She shares her home with a friendly Golden Retriever named, Norma Jean Smoovy.

Dot Conifer
Receptionist
Dot has been an important member of our veterinary team for a year now. She grew up in Liverpool, England, but has been in the States for 22 years. The Conifer household is made up of three cats named Boo Boo, Patches, and Harry. Recently, the brood expanded with the addition of a stray lab mix named Shankley. Dot uses her cheery attitude and exceptional skills to provide the best service for our clients and patients.
