Heidi G. Hoogeweg, DVM Clinic Director A native of Chicago Heights, Dr. Heidi Hoogeweg graduated from Marian Catholic High School, Loyola University of Chicago and in 1983 the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. After practicing at a north suburban clinic for two years, she joined Markham Animal Clinic. The joy that a healthy pet brings a client makes veterinary medicine so rewarding for Dr. Heidi. She also enjoys bicycling, camping, swimming and traveling with her husband Bill and their three sons.	Jack S. Titolo, DVM Associate Veterinarian Dr. Jack Titolo graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1977 and has practiced small animal medicine and surgery in a number of states across the country. Jean, his lovely wife of almost twenty years, finally tamed his wandering spirit and he has set up home at Markham Animal Clinic to stay. Dr. Jack is a devout Christian and has been involved in Missionary work and Music Ministry, playing the guitar and composing, for more than forty years. When you can't find Dr. Jack on the ground, you'll find him in the air flying a Cessna 172. "Any excuse to fly is a good excuse!"	Maritess T. Tinio, DVM Associate Veterinarian Dr. Maritess Tinio is a native of Carol Stream and did her undergraduate studies at Iowa State University. In 2006 she graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. She has a special interest in exotic pets as well as all aspects of dog and cat medicine and surgery.
Brandy L. Bearden, DVM Associate Veterinarian Dr. Bearden has been at Markham Animal Clinic for many years as a technician and made the decision about 10 years ago to resume her studies and follow her life-long dream of becoming a veterinarian. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and did her clinical studies at Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. She brings a wealth of experience and insight to her practice of veterinary medicine. She enjoys all aspects of practice, especially ophthalmology.	Jorg H. Hoogeweg, DVM Founder and Director Dr. Jorg H. Hoogeweg came to the United States from Germany shortly after World War II . After working for the University of Illinois Department of Agriculture, he registered as a student in 1952. After graduating from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1958, he worked as an associate veterinarian in Chicago and Chicago Heights. In 1965 he built and started Markham Animal Clinic. Over the years he saw the clinic expand and he is grateful for the confidence and ever-increasing following of his clients. You may not see much of "Dr. H' in the exam room anymore, but he is still very active in the administration of the practice. He enjoys sharing his experience for the benefit of pets and clients alike. Veterininary medicine has always been what he loved to do. Now more time is devoted to home life with his wife Carolyn, his nine grandchildren, writing, lecturing and traveling.

Michele Office Manager Michele has been at the front desk at Markham Animal Clinic for over twenty years. A native of Markham, she currently resides in Monee with her husband Bruce, Opie the Weimaraner, Fannie May the Chocolate Lab and Paulie, the cat. Michele has many responsibilites throughout the clinic, including inventory and staff scheduling. The staff knows to "Ask Michele" when questions arise.	Carolyn Patient Care Specialist Carolyn has worked in many capacities at our clinic for many years. She holds a BS in Biology from Lewis University. Her attention to detail insures that patients get the best care possible. She and her husband Jason live in Joliet with their two cats.	Jessica Patient Care Speciaist Jessica has almost 20 years of experience as a veterinary technician. Her compassion for all animals and her passion for veterinary medicine maker her a tremendous asset to Markham Animal Clinic. She resides with her husband in Chicago.	Carly Patient Care Specialist Carly has years of experience working as a veterinary assistant and is completing her studies at Joliet Junior College Veterinary Technology Program.
Julie Patient Care Specialist Julie has had an interest in veterinary medicine for many years and is able to realize her dream of working in an animal hospital. She works as a technician at our clinic and enjoys helping people with their pets.	Shannon Patient Care Specialist Shannon is comleting her studies at Fox College's Veterinary Technology Program. She enjoys taking care of pets of all types!		Jessica Client Care Specialist Jessica has been helping clients at MAC for over 13 years. She recognizes many of our clients and even more of our patients by sight and is always ready to greet them with a smile. In addition to her full time work at the clinic, she is a licensed cosmetologist. Jessica and her husband Rob are the proud parents of two little girls in addition to their four-legged children Morgan and Magoo.
Edy Client Care Specialist A native of Markham, Edy has been with us for about six years. She, her husband Jalon and her son enjoy taking care of their beautiful Himalayan cat Symphonee. In addition to her reception duties at Markham Animal Clinic, Edy is a licensed cosmetologist and works in a salon.	Kinsey Client Care Specialist Kinsey is an avid animal lover. She is a nursing student in addition to helping people with their pets at MAC. She and her new husband Roberto have many pets and she knows how important clients' pets are to them.	Stephanie Client Care Specialist A native of the south suburbs, Stephanie spent a few years in California before relocating back to Illinois. She's eager to help our clients get the best care for their pets.	Samantha Client Care Specialist Samantha is a college student who works hard to make sure our clients get the best of service, providing you with the information you need to help your pet.
John Pet Care Specialist Also a Markham native, John has been with us for over 18 years. He has a variety of pets, including turtles, ball pythons, dogs and cats. He is responsible for the kennel in addition assisting the doctors and technicians. On weekends, John is a singer in two tribute bands and he has several CD releases.	Randi Pet Care Specialist Randi has aspirations becoming a veterinarian or a physician. She takes great care of boarded and hospitalized pets and is always ready to help out whereever or whenever she's needed.	Hannah Pet Care Specialist Hannah takes care of pets who are boarding in the hospital and she makes sure that the kennels are always clean and sanitary.	Ryan Pet Care Specialist Ryan works in the kennel part-time. He gives our boarded and hosptalized pets the best of care and attention.
