Dr. Richard R. Lentz
Owner
Dr. Lentz and his family have two dogs. One not so very good young lab named Midge, and one very spoiled Pomeranian named Godiva. The three dogs live with Dr. Lentz, his wife Beth and two grown children Emily and Kristin. Beth is currently the school nurse at Milbank High School. Emily is attending Drake University in pharmacy and Kristin is attending Pacific Lutheran University studying international business marketing.
Dr. Lentz attended the University of Minnesota college of Veterinary Medicine receiving his DVM degree in 1984. Dr. Lentz spent 4 years in Webster prior to moving to Milbank in 1988. After 20 years in mixed animal practice, Dr. Lentz now enjoys companion animal medicine. When not at the clinic, Dr. Lentz enjoys fishing, hunting, gardening and other outdoor activities. Dr. Lentz and Beth recently went to Alaska for their 25th wedding anniversary and of course fishing was a part of that trip.

I grew up on a farm near Wheaton, MN near the north end of Lake Traverse. Following graduation from Wheaton High School I attended North Dakota State University in Fargo ND. I received her AS degree in Animal Health Technology.
An animal lover from birth, I enjoyed a menagerie of farm animals and pets as a child. These included sheep, horses, cats, rabbits and dogs.
In my spare time I enjoys reading, teaching Sunday School and spending time at our cabin on Big Stone Lake.
I am married to Marty and we have two college aged children. We also have Madjek, a Toy Poodle and Jet, a Labrador Retriever who also enjoy spending time at the lake.

Registered Veterinary Technician
Born and raised a farm-girl in Milbank, SD. I grew up working on pigs, cattle and horses. So my dream as a little girl was to become a vet.
I attended SDSU for 2 years with a Pre-Vet/Animal Science major but I decided to pursue my Veterinary Technician Degree. I earned my A.S. Degree in Veterinary Technology at National American University of Rapid City in May 2001.
After graduation, I worked in an Emergency Practice in PA for 2 years and then I moved to CO and worked in a small animal/exotic clinic for 3 years. In 2006, in order to be close to family, I moved back to Milbank and I have been working at Prairie Hills Pet Clinic since.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé Greg and 3 year old son Dylan. I also help out with the 4-H dog project, I Rodeo with my Dad. I enjoy Snowboarding, playing softball, but most importantly, I enjoy time with family and friends.
Also members of my family include our Border Collie, Beaner, our Cats, Noel & Dixie and my horse, Levi.

Office Manager
I have been working at Prairie Hills Pet Clinic for 5 years now. I am the first person you will talk to when you come into or call Prairie Hills Pet Clinic. I will help you with making appointments, making your purchases and answering questions as best as I can. If I can not, then I will get someone that can.
I live near Ortonville with my Husband Royce, we have two adult son's, Travis and Troy. A big part of our family are our pets, who have all been rescues. Madeline is our baby, a 4 year old Yorkshire Terrier. She enjoys coming to work with me daily and sleeping in her kennel under my desk. Clyde is about 6 years old, we think he is a retriever/Brittany mix. He stays home on the farm with Sammie. We have had Sammie for almost 1 1/2 years now. She is also a mix, we believe she has some Blue Heeler in her. Then we have the cats, or should I say they have us! Shadow, Emeril and Edgar are our indoor cats. We also have Gunter, Flame, Thelma and Louise outside.

I grew up on a farm north of Ortonville, MN. On the farm, we raised pigs, cattle, soybeans, wheat and corn, with a couple horses thrown in for good measure. I always wanted to work with animals when I grew up.
I attended college at South Dakota State University. In December 2003, I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Animal Science Business and Production Emphasis and a minor in Agricultural Business. While at SDSU, I worked at the Horse Unit.
After college, my husband and I moved to the Sioux Falls area. I began working at the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society in August 2004. Working at the Humane Society was both heart breaking and the most rewarding job I have ever held.
In December 2005, there was an opportunity to move back home. My husband, DJ accepted a position at the Big Stone Power Plant I. In March 2006, I started working at Prairie Hills Pet Clinic. I handle the inventory at the clinic.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending it with my husband, DJ and our daughter, Morgan. Other hobbies/activities include cooking, baking, riding horse, reading, photography, gardening and spending time with family and friends. Our pets include, 3 dogs, Chance a Golden Retriever, Lily a longhaired Miniature Dachshund, Squeakers a Rat Terrier mix, 1 cat Tippe and a quarter horse Red.
