ABOUT US Pembroke Lakes Animal Hospital was founded in 1986 with a dual purpose: to provide the best possible care to pets and piece of mind to their owners. Dr. Sam Strauss and staff have been helping to keep the pets of Pembroke Pines healthy and happy for fifteen years. We are the ONLY AAHA certified practice in town! We are a full-service hospital that has a four-year accreditation with the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). This accreditation means that we have met or surpassed numerous specifications to provide the utmost in service and care to you and your pet. We are commited to strengthening the human-companion animal bond. Dr. Strauss is also currently affiliated with the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and is a current member of the Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA) as well as the Broward County Veterinary Medical Association (BCVMA). Dr. Strauss also does extensive work with birds as is affiliated with the Avian Veterinarian Medical Association.
