ABOUT US
HISTORY

Richland Animal Clinic, formerly Claughton Animal Clinic was established by Dr.Hugh Claughton in 1956. Dr.Brockman purchased the practice and building in 1989 and changed the name to Richland Animal Clinic to reflect its Richland Creek area location.

Since 1960, the original Clinic "house" expanded twice beyond its original 1000 square foot size. By 2001, it became apparent that the clinic's 3600 square feet could no longer expand to meet needs given its current location, so a new state of the art hospital was built next door.

TODAY

The new Richland Animal Clinic  opened in December of 2001, expanding to five examing rooms and a more spacious, comfortable reception area for our clients. In addition, the new floor plan of the clinic enhances staff efficiency with a centrally located laboratory and pharmacy. And from our large treatment room, the staff has centralized emergency access to surgery, ICU, radiology, isolation and special procedures rooms.

MISSION

OUR GOAL IS TO PROVIDE THE BEST VETERINARY CARE AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE for the animals of West Nashville and surrounding areas. We realize that every client is unique, and we pride ourselves on our indivdualized approach to our clients and their pets.

By taking time to educate our clients about animal health, preventive medicine, nutrition, and obedience, we are strenghtening the bond between you and your pet. Through client education, we can hopefully prevent many common diseases and unwanted behaviors, as well as do our part in curbing the ever-growing pet overpopulation problem.
