ABOUT US The original unit of the Somerset Veterinary Group, then called the Somerset Veterinary Infirmary, was built by R.N. Gordon Darby, DVM. The doors opened for its first patients in October 1936. At that time, the "Infirmary" was considered to be out in the country and the only other neighbor for a mile stretch on the highway was a private home. In those days, the highway was not divided as it is now. Dr. Arthur F. North joined Dr. Darby in practice in June 1937. He owned and directed the practice from 1946 until his death on June 3, 1982. The practice is now owned and directed by Dr. Raymond E.Kenny who joined the staff in June 1965 and Dr. John A. North who joined the staff in June 1970. We have a total of 6 veterinarians on staff for you and your pet's needs. If you are numbered among those who have been with us through the years, we are pleased to have enjoyed your company along the way.
