Dr. Foster is a 1998 graduate of the University of Minnesota and current member of the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association. He also has a specialist certificate in TPLO surgeries. Dr. Foster and his family have 3 dogs, a green wing macaw named Watermelon, and 2 rats.
Dr. John Newman
Consulting Veterinarian, DVM
Dr. Newman sold the practice to Dr. Foster in September 2001, and is now a consulting doctor at SAH from his home in Georgia. Dr. Newman graduated from the University of Minnesota with his DVM in 1961. In 1964 he received his masters degree and in 1967 obtained his PhD. Dr. Newman taught classes at the University of Minnesota in Avian Medicine and Microbiology.
Dr. Jennifer Herzog
Veterinarian, DVM
Dr. Herzog went to Iowa State University and graduated in 2001. She started here in Oct 2004. Studying acupuncture at the Chi Institute (traditional Chinese veterinary medicine), has added another asset to our clinic. She also has a cat named Charlie, and a dog named Snuffy.
Dr. Susan Burnett
Veterinarian, DVM
Dr. Burnett joined our team in Jan 2007. She graduated from Michigan State University in 1990, and has 14 years of private practice experience. She also trained veterinarian technicians for 6 years. She lives with her husband and son, along with Rocky a golden, Daisy a border collie, and Binky a rescued cat. She loves nature hikes, biking, and classical music.
Dr. Catherine Angle
Veterinarian, DVM
Dr Angle has become a great addition to our team in July 2008. She is a Minnesota native who completed her undergraduate degree from Hamlin University, a DVM, and masters in Public Health from the U of Minnesota. She has completed an internship in Charlotte, NC in small animal medicine and surgery. She has a very strong interest in emergency medicine and toxicology. She works with the pet poison hotline to provide veterinary consultations to pet owners. She owns a dog and 2 cats.
Dr. Emmy Hartman
Veterinarian, DVM
Dr. Emmy Hartman is the most recent addition to the Southview team, joining us in August of 2008. She is a University of Minnesota College of Veterinarian Medicine graduate and enjoys general small animal practice. She plans on further developing her special interests in dermatology, ultrasoundography and ophthalmology.
Dr. Hartman grew up on a hobby farm in Red Wing, Minnesota and participated in 4-H for over 12 years where she showed all kinds of animals from rabbits, chickens, goats, sheep and pigs. She attended the University of Nebraska-Kearney where she played intercollegiate tennis and studied political science, pre-law and biology. After being admitted into Law School, Dr. Hartmans hobby farm roots pulled her in the right direction, toward Veterinary Medicine!
Dr. Hartman and her husband, Johannes, live in Inver Grove Heights with their daughter Lillian and their four rescued animals: two crazy boxers named Francine and Tuna and two sassy cats named Pussius and Uollie Schmidd.
While not working, Dr. Hartman enjoys time with family, outdoor activities, and authentic international cuisine. Dr. Hartman most appreciates building lasting relationships with her clients and their pets and thoroughly enjoys being a part of the Southview Animal Hospital Team!
Dr. Erin Godinez
Veterinarian, DVM
Dr. Godinez joined Southview in June 2009. She attended Iowa State. Her primary interests include exotic and aquatic medicine. Dr. Godinez enjoyed volunteering with the aquarist at the Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines. It was there that she became fascinated by marine and freshwater vertebrates and invertebrates.
Dr. Godinez lives in Eagan with her husband, their bulldog, Tank, cats Simon and Clover, Herbie the red-footed tortoise, Izzy the amelanstic corn snake and a 75 gallon aquarium filled with freshwater fish.
In her spare time she enjoys reading and spending time with family.
Dr. Jason Doolittle
Veterinarian, DVM
Dr. Jason Doolittle joined the Southview team in 2010. He is a California native, spending time in Minnesota and the Caribbean. Dr. Doolittle attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts in the West Indies and completed his clinical training at the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine. He completed his internship at the Animal Emergency Center in Glendale Wisconsin. He is married with two “fur babies” - their cats, Ting and Murphy. Dr. Doolittle has a strong interest in emergency and critical care currently centered around fluid resuscitation and hemodynamic emergencies.
Dr. Amanda Kremer

Dr. Kremer has brought pet chiropractor care to our clinic in Aug 2009. She is here every Tues from 4-6 P.M. Call to schedule an appointment.
Dr. Amanda Kremer is originally from Michigan where she earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Animal Science at Michigan State University. Concurrently, during her studies, she worked as a veterinary assistant. After graduation she moved to Portland, Oregon, where she earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic at Western States Chiropractic College. Dr. Kremer later enrolled in the Canadian Animal Chiropractic Program in Brantford, Ontario to pursue her dream of working with animals. She was trained by the pioneers of Animal Chiropractic (both Veterinarians and Chiropractors) and excelled throughout the program. Once Dr. Kremer became certified through the Canadian Animal Chiropractic Program, she soon earned her certification through the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA). Currently, she is the only Chiropractor in the state of Minnesota who is an AVCA certified Animal Chiropractor.
Dr. Kremer, now residing in Minnesota, lives an active lifestyle, being a marathon runner, teaching spin classes, daily Bikram Yoga and has trained for fitness competitions. Her athletic dedication and personal emphasis on health and wellness is fundamental to her practice philosophy. Dr. Kremer has a 3 year old beagle, Taz, who loves to run and swim. However, even Taz can’t keep up with her on “long run days!” Her dream is to have many, many more beagles, but one is enough for now.

Mrs. Foster graduated in 1992 with a Masters degree in Communications. Her research focus was on Doctor/Patient relationships and communication. Sherry has prior work experience managing small offices in human medicine and insurance. Sherry and Michael Foster have 4 children Brandon, Dawson, Blake, and Tianna.

Laurie has been with Southview from the beginning of her career in 1986. She is an outstanding technician with exceptional skills in the lab and is especially gifted with birds and exotics. She has a husky mix named Jewel, kitty which is a long haired tabby, a White Tree Frog, and a Hermit Crab at home. She also plays the flute in a community band.

Peaches began her full time career at Southview in March 1997, after completing her internship here, and working part-time. She has been invaluable in creating a more peaceful environment for our clients who have to say good-bye to their beloved pets. Peaches and her husband have 3 cats, named Sweet Pea, Daquari Do Brats, and Mackenzie. Peaches had a preemie named Megan in Jan 2005, and a new baby boy in Dec 2009.
