Diet and nutritional counseling is discussed during annual exams, and we have prescription and premium pet food available to suit all stages of your pet's life. Microchipping with Home-Again microchips is available, and recommended to all pets. It is a quick procedure which can easily be done during a routine appointment or surgery.
Routine surgeries such as spaying and neutering are scheduled daily throughout the week. Declaws are performed with our laser surgery unit. We give you the option to choose whether you prefer to use our cutting laser for any other procedures. The doctor will discuss and explain theese options to you. The benefits of the cutting laser include: Less bleeding during surgery, less pain, and less inflammation at the surgery site. Other surgery performed include: Orthopedics, tumor and growth excisions, and various procedures to restore your pet to good health.
We offer in-house laboratory testing for all ill patients and pre-anesthetic screening for those with scheduled procedures. We can perform feline leukemia testing, stool testing, urinalysis, and heartworm testing while you wait if that is most convenient for you. Our canine heartworm test also checks for tick-carried diseases such as Lyme. This is becoming more prevalent in our area and is important to know since it is a disease humans can contract form those same ticks.
For those patients that become ill or are injured, we offer full diagnostic capabilities, which range from lab work to full radiology, intensive care, nursing care, and hospitalization.
Dentistry is also performed throughout the week, with dental radiographs available. Your pet's teeth will be scaled, polished, fluorided, and have a barrier sealant applied to prevent rapid buildup of plaque and tartar.
Boarding is available on a limited basis, and we do have groomers who schedule their own appointments.
