Doug Parker was born in Lubbock, Texas but raised on a farm in Southwest Oklahoma. He is the youngest of two sons both of whom are veterinarians. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1989. He practiced originally at a mixed animal clinic in Northeast Arkansas and in 1992, purchased Sugar Creek Animal Hospital in Bentonville, Arkansas. He is married to Tammy Jones and they have 3 sons.
Tammy Jones, DVM
Veterinarian and Owner
Tammy Jones was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While growing up, she spent a great deal of time working on her cousin’s dairy farm. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1989. She practiced for 3 years at a mixed animal clinic in Northeast Arkansas before moving to Bentonville, Arkansas with her husband Doug Parker.
Melissa Freeman
Practice Manager
Melissa was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois. After graduating from the University of Missouri, she moved to Dallas, Texas where she worked first as a social worker and then as a paralegal. A transfer to Walmart, brought she and her husband, Dave, to Bentonville along with their daughter, dogs and rabbits. Melissa and her daughter, Jessica used to show rabbits. Melissa has been with the clinic since 1993. Currently their home houses 8 dogs and 10 cats.
Charlye Key
Technician
Charlye was born in New York and raised in Pea Ridge, Arkansas. She graduated from high school in 1998 and began working at Sugar Creek later the same year. She has always wanted to be a Vet Tech because of her love for animals. As a result of a lot of hard work and learning, she is doing exactly what she wanted to do.
