Dr. Karen Negrin

Veterinarian, DVM

Dr. Negrin is the current Chief Medical Officer of TLC Pet Doctor. She is a 1998 graduate of the prestigeous Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. She started at this practice in 2000 and came to us with excellent experience and training. Dr. Negrin started her career as a Veterinary technician in 1990 and it was ironically at TLC, under Dr. Pollack (the deceased founder of TLC). "You won't find a more dedicated Veterinarian" quotes Dr. Thomas Campagnolo (the former owner of TLC). If Dr. Negrin is not working at the practice she is consulting with other veterinarians about patients, reading professional journals or textbooks, attending Veterinary meetings for continuing education or donating her time to a number of worthy causes and organizations. She has accumulated over 100 hours of continuing education hours per year. Her devotion is unreal. In order to improve the practice, Dr. Negrin has recently acquired a laser for the practice and continues to attend wet laboratories in order to become more skilled in techniques requiring the use of lasers. Dr.Negrin is also from this area, she was raised in Elizabeth.

Pam McCarthy

Veterinary Technician

Pam has over 15 years of experience as a veterinary technician. Pam is always sure to make our patients as comfortable as possible. She has bottle-raised several stray kittens and helped place them into new homes. She has great skills in assisting in surgeries often being Dr. Negrin's "right-hand woman" when emergencies arise. She has recently been made the head technician at TLC. Pam treats every patient as if they are her own, often staying after hours helping animals that have not fully recovered from anesthesia, or that just need special care when needed. You cannot find a more dedicated employee. Pam has a large number of pets, the most famous is Baxter, who was inducted into the NJ Animal Hall of fame in Febuary 2003.

Danielle Black

Veterinary Technician/Receptionist

Danielle has a special role at TLC. She is considered the hospital "floater". This means that she does both reception and technician work as needed. She joined us in July and is learning both positions quickly. She has a warm sense of humor and enjoys tending to the animals seen at TLC.

Donna Powell

Receptionist

Donna joined our practice in May when Dr. Negrin purchased the practice. She is experienced as a receptionist though this is her first time working in a veterinary hospital. Her "people skills" are wonderful and her love for animals shows with every patient that she assists.

Ryan Dugan

Veterinary Technician

Ryan is a student at Stockton College. When not in school, she works as our technician; she also works on Saturdays. She plans to work with animals after graduating and may elect to attend veterinary school in the future. She will be graduating from Stockton in December and may be joining us full-time until classes begin in September.
