Dr. Patrick Kollker
Veterinarian
Dr. Kollker is a 1971 graduate of Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. After achieving his degree, he practiced in the Minneapolis area for two years and Jackson for one. He opened Village East Animal Hospital in 1974.
Dr. Max Smith
Veterinarian
Dr. Smith earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 1979. After graduation, he joined Dr. Kollker at this practice, and has been here ever since.
Dr. enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but particularly enjoys ophthamology.
Dr. William Melchiors
Veterinarian
Dr. Melchoiors is another graduate from Purdue. He earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1982. He also jointed this practice immediately after graduation, and has been with us ever since.
He has a special interest in ferrets.
Dr. Jill Kemp
Veterinarian
Dr. Kemp is also a graduate of Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating in 1988, she practiced two years in northern Indiana Crown Point. She joined our practice in 1990.
Dr. Kemp has six black cats at home.
Dr. Laura Bakowski
Veterinarian
Dr. Bakowski is the most recent addition to our veterinary staff. She earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Purdue in 1997. She spent one year practicing in California before joining us in 1998.
She has a special interest in exotics.
