Description
|
Welcome to A&A Veterinary Hospital, a full service facility with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities. We have been serving the needs of exotic pets, as well as companion animals for over thirty years.
Our staff, of nearly fifty employees, strives for the best in personal attention to you and your pet. Our nine veterinarians use their substantial expertise to integrate as a team of health care providers to handle the most challenging of medical and surgical cases. We are a teaching hospital, where veterinarians and veterinary students from around the world come to observe to expand or complete their educations. Our support staff is lead by our seven licensed Animal Health Technicians. Their professional status was preceded by extensive training in patient care, surgical preparation, dental hygiene, anesthesia and laboratory analysis. They are aided by trained assistants who help with patient care and restraint, as well as maintaining a clean and healthy environment consistent with hospital standards. Our receptionists are trained to collect and relay pertinent information by reviewing your computerized records and arranging appointments and phone consultations with the doctors.
Our state-of-the-art facilities include two surgical suites, preparatory and scrub rooms, a complete radiology department (with all the equipment necessary to achieve quality x-ray studies including automatic processing to deliver them in minutes), diagnostic ultrasound (using high frequency sound waves and computer imaging to view internal organs), endoscopy (using a flexible fiber optic device to view and sample the respiratory and digestive tracts and remove foreign bodies), echocardiography (viewing and assessing the heart's effectiveness as a pump), electrocardiography (EKG's), intensive care unit (capable of delivering controlled concentrations of pure oxygen at selected temperatures and humidity), and avian/exotic animal ward (designed and constructed specifically to meet the special needs of these pets- such as increased temperatures, visual security, sound proofing and sanitation), two large hospital wards (each capable of housing 33 patients with access to large exercise runs), and an isolation unit to prevent the spread of contagious disease.
On our lower level we have four boarding wards and exercise runs, storage areas, a kitchen, laundry and office facilities, and a grooming parlor. Our professional groomer can meet any of your pet's requirements.
We are computer linked to one of the largest veterinary laboratories in the country affording most laboratory results within 24 hours.
Ample parking facilities are available and we are handicapped accessible.
