Description

Aspen View Veterinary Hospital is one of Colorado Springs newest veterinary hospitals. Recently opened by Dr. Ken Chmelka and Dr. Douglas Schrepel, Aspen View is a modern, state of the art small animal hospital. Aspen View is located in the Cub Foods Centre at the corner of Powers Boulevard and Constitution Avenue. Please stop by for a tour of our new facility and to meet our friendly staff.

Services

*Client Service- We work diligently to provide efficient and quality service to our clientele, including an option for admitting pets to our hospital enroute to work and then picking them up after the work day.
*Diagnostic Capabilities- Our diagnostic equipment and in-house laboratory enhances our ability for early diagnosis of sick patients and allows us to begin treatment procedures as quickly as possible. Should your pet ever require unique diagnostics, treatments, or surgery we are unable to provide, our hospital offers referral to board certified specialists located in Colorado Springs, Castle Rock, Denver and Colorado State Universtiy.
*Surgery- We use the safest, most recently available anesthetics. During surgery and procedures requiring anesthesia your pet's heart, pulse, respiration, and oxygen levels are monitored closely, whether it is a routine or more complicated surgery. Dr. Douglas Schrepel
|

Veterinarian
|
|
Dr. Schrepel received a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting in 1981. He then went on to become a Certified Public Accountant. After spending several years in the business world, Dr. Schrepel returned to school at Colorado State University to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. He received his second B.S. in Biological Sciences and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1994 from Colorado State University. Dr. Schrepel's professional interests include small animal anesthesia and analgesia. He has three children and is an avid hiker and runner who enjoys exploring vegetarian cooking.

Dr. Chmelka received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Kansas State University in 1983. Ken worked for a veterinary hospital in Upper Hutt, New Zealand for one and one half years before returning to America and settling in Colorado Springs. His professional interests include internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. Ken shares his home with his wife, two sons, two dogs, and three cats.
