From route 11, on the North side of Berwick, turn onto Fowler Avenue. This is the same street the high school is on(you can also follow the hospital signs for the Berwick Hospital). Go to the 3rd stop sign, just past the high school on your right. Turn right, past the Berwick Hospital on your left, go up the hill past the Berwick retirement center on your left and we are at the top of the hill. We have a large sign that is lit at night.

Welcome to our website! Our hospital is located in Berwick, PA. We are a full service veterinary practice, devoted to providing quality veterinary care for our patients. We have been in our current location since 1995. Prior to that, we were known as the Beach-Haven Veterinary Hospital and were located down the road in Beach Haven, PA. We have on-site radiology, and blood chemistry analysis. We do most routine surgeries, and dental proceedures. Our surgery suite has both halothane and isoflorane gas anesthesia, respiratory/blood oxygen/pulse monitoring, radiocautery, and thermal water blanket to ensure our patients the best care during any surgical proceedure.
We have separate rooms for our dog and cat patients, with large stainless steel cages.
We have limited boarding at this time, and feed all patients science diet. All dogs are walked at least 2 times daily while they are staying with us. We hope to see you soon. Any questions about the hospital, feel free to call or e-mail.

Dr. Schindler graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 1984 with a BS in Biology. He attended North Carolina State University from 1985-1990, during which time he obtained a MS in Physiology and his DVM. After graduation, he practiced in Western PA for 2 years.
In 1992, Dr. Schindler purchased the Beach Haven Veterinary Clinic. He is currently the owner/veterinarian of the Berwick Veterinary Care Center, formerly the Beach Haven Veterinary Clinic.

Irene Schindler graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 1985. She worked at The North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine from 1986-1990 as an office manager. To call Irene an office manager is a very simplistic view of her job. Irene does eveything from ordering to training technicians and receptionists to holding patients and assisting in surgery. If there is anything you need to know, she will be able to help you.

Kristin is a senior high school student who is working with us through her school's work co-op program. Upon graduation, she plans on attending college in a Veterinary technician program. She has a large menagerie of pets at home, and if she were allowed, it would be even larger. She likes all animals big and small.

Since Toni joined our practice, the practice cat 'Smokey' has gained 4 pounds. She loves to spoil pets rotten, and if you give her a chance, she will spoil yours too. Toni just joined our practice so she is not familiar with everything we offer, but she is working hard to learn quickly and will do every thing in her power to help you.
