Staff Members

Dr. Charles Lemme, DVM

Veterinarian/Owner

Dr. Lemme is a 1975 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He was employed in a small animal practice in Evanston, Illinois for his first 10 years out of school. In 1985 he bought Blairs Ferry Pet Hospital from Dr. Bob Bishop and has practiced here since then. Dr. Lemme has been very active in veterinary organizations. He has served as president of the Linn County Veterinary Association, the Eastern Iowa Veterinary Association and the Midwest Small Animal Association. He served several years as an Area Director of the American Animal Hospital Association and is currently on their Council of 100.

Dr. Teresa Streeper, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Streeper attended Iowa State University majoring in zoology. She received her bachelors degree in 1985. In 1989 she received her doctor of veterinary medicine degree from the ISU College of Veterinary medicine. Upon graduation she was an associate veterinarian at Mesa Veterinary Hospital, a 24 hour facility in Mesa, Arizona. Originally from Monticello, Dr. Streeper has been practicing small animal medicine in Cedar Rapids since 1994. She enjoys general practice with a special interest in internal medicine. On a personal note, she enjoys horseback riding, antiquing, reading, outdoor activities and dragon boating.
