Our professional, cheerful staff offers help to all our clients by taking the time to help answer questions. Among our staff are 3 doctors, 6 licensed veterinary technicians and 11 additional staff members who offer years of experience and knowledge. Our hospital offers from annual comprehensive exams with vaccines to many forms of surgery. We believe in compassionate and professional care for your four-footed family members.

Allen H. Edwards, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Edwards graduated from Cornell University in 1980. He has been practicing here at Brockport since he purchased the practice in 1988. His wife, Vicky and their 3 children enjoy their Brockport home with 1 dog, 2 cats and a rabbit.

Carol Pepper,DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Pepper graduated from Cornell University in 1984. She has been an important member of Brockport Animal Hospital since 1999. She is joined at her home with her dog, 7 cats, and 8 horses.

Kim E. Miller, LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician/Hospital Manager

Kim graduated from SUNY @ Delhi in 1978 with a degree in veterinary technology. She joined our team at Brockport Animal Hospital in 1992 as a veterinary technician and became hospital manager in 1998. Kim brought with her 17 years of experience in the veterinary field. She shares her home with her husband, 3 children , 6 dogs, and 2 cats. Her special interests includes raising Labrador Retrievers and educating the public on chosing a puppy and breeding responsibly. She also enjoys camping, hiking and photography.

Lisa Martorana, LVT

Veterinary Technician

Lisa graduated from Medaille College in 1994 with a degree in veterinary technology and has been a valued member of our staff since. Lisa specializes in canine behavior. She shares her home with her husband, 2 dogs and 3 cats. Her special interests include dog showing especially Dock Dog Jumping, Hiking and Roller Coasters.

Mary McCarthy

Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Mary has been a valued member of our staff since 1990. Mary brought with her 3 years of experience in the veterinary field. She specializes in care of ferrets. She is joined at her home with her dog, 1 cat and 8 ferrets.

Candy Lynch

Receptionist

Candy has been a member of Brockport Animal Hospital since before Dr. Edwards became owner. She has worked out of this office since 1987. Candy knows alot about feline behavior and is joined at home with 3 cats, 2 peacocks, 3 dogs and a variety of other birds.

Gloria Richardson

Receptionist

Gloria has been a valued member of our team since 1991. She brought with her 9 years of experience working in the veterinary field. She is joined at home with her husband, 3 dogs, a parakeet, a cat and 2 ferrets.

Sue Korber

Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Sue has been a important part of our veterinary team since 1997 and brought with her 5 years of veterinary experience. Sue is joined at her home with her child, 3 dogs and 2 cats. Her special interests include spending time with her dogs hiking and she loves working with the animals here at work.

Debra List

Receptionist

Debi joined our team in 2000 and has been a valued addition. She brought with her 3 years of experience teaching dog obedience training. She is joined at home with her husband, 6 children, 9 dogs and 11 cats. Her special interests include Photgraphy, Crafting and Gardening.

Laura Mills

Receptionist

Laura joined our team in 2000. Laura has proven to be a quick learner and definitely fits into our professional team. She is joined at home with her husband, 2 children and 2 dogs. Her special interests include crafting.

Pat Nothnagle

Receptionist

Pat became a valuable member of our team in 1999. With her, she brought years of experience caring for cats and ferrets. Pat runs a shelter for unwanted ferrets which she cares for with love and tenderness. She is joined at home with her husband, 11 cats, 15 ferrets (these are not shelter ferrets),1 potbellied pig, a bird, 4 guinea pigs and variety of farm animals.

Joy Stockwell

Receptionist/Kennel Attendant/Veterinary Assistant

Joy joined our team in 2004. She attended Vet School in the Philipines and is presently waiting to pass the board certification to become a veterinarian in the USA. She has 2 dogs and 1 cat.

Jay Szklarski

Veterinary Technician

Jay joined our team part-time in 2004. He graduated from SUNY Alfred with a degree in Veterinary Technology. He is presently attending college at SUNY Brockport and hopes to become an Animal Cruelty Investigator. He presently has 1 cat and looks forward to getting a dog once he is able to settle down in one place. His special interests at the hospital is Radiology.

Leah Grape

Veterinary Technician

Leah joined our team in 2002. She graduated from Medaille College with a degree in Veterinary Technology in 2002. She presently has 1 dog and 2 cats.

Mandy Schepis

Kennel Attendant

Mandy joined our team as a volunteer in 2003. We loved her so much that once an opening in the kennels opened she was the first to have it offered. She is presently attending SUNY Brockport majoring in Biological Sciences and Chemistry and plans to attend Vet School next. She presently has 2 dogs. Her special interests are tennis.

Carrie Moriarty

Receptionist/Kennel Attendant/Veterinary Assistant

Carrie joined our team in 2003 bringing with her 5 years experience in the veterinary field. She presently has 1 dog and 1 ferret. Her special interests include going to the park with her dog and hanging out with family and friends. She also enjoys learning about surgery at work and educating the clients.

Melissa Forsythe

Veterinary Technician

Melissa joined our team in 2004 after doing her veterinary technician internship with us. We loved her so much we couldn't wait for her to graduate and join our team. She graduated from Medaille College as Veterinary Technician in 2004. She presently lives with her parents, 2 dogs and a cat. Her special interests are horseback riding and while at work she is very interested in surgery, anesthesia and radiology.

Ruth Valentine

Veterinary Technician

Ruth was a late comer for us. She did her veterinary technician internship with us in 1999 and we tried to hire her then but she chose to work closer to home. By 2002 we were able to convince her to join our team. Thank You!!! She graduated from Medaille College with a degree in Veterinary Technology in 2000. Although she has no domestic pets at home she does have a variety of different critters through out the year. Ruth is a Wildlife Rehabilitator. She also enjoys canoeing, camping and hiking with her husband. Her special interest at work includes educating the clients about proper pet care.

Jon Littman

Veterinarian, DVM

Jon joined our team in 2004 with 5 years experience as a veterinarian. He graduated from Cornell University in 1998. He is presently joined at home with 4 dogs. His special interests include playing hockey.

Korrina Anson

Kennel Attendant

Kory just joined our team in 2005. She is presently attending SUNY Brockport with a major in Biology. She hopes to go on to Veterinary School once she graduates next year. She presently owns 2 cats.
