We at Doiron-Plauche Veterinary Hospital believe in serving you, your pet and our community. We believe in providing high quality care in a modern, clean environment. Ours is a progressive approach to medical care - always open to new and more effective techniques. Our services include preventive health care, advanced dental services, behavior counseling, progressive surgical expertise including orthopedic and opthalmic, in house diagnostic laboratory, nutritional foods and supplements and nutritional counseling.
Drs Doiron and Plauche are members of the Acadiana Area Veterinary Association, Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). AAHA is an organized group of progressive veterinarians that voluntarily comply with high standards for the operation of an animal hospital. The standards apply equally to all AAHA member hospitals and our hospital is routinely inspected and evaluated in order to maintain membership and display the logo. There are only twenty-two such hopitals in the state of Louisiana.
Our normal business hours are:
Monday through Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment; but walk-ins are welcome. We often encourage poeple with tight schedules to drop off their pets and pick them up later in the day. We can arrange to accept drop-offs as early as 7:00 a.m.
AGE COMPARISONS
An age comparison of dogs and humans is basically and "educated guess", but it is often stated that one year of dog life is equivalent to seven years in man. However, a recently published chart states that there is a more accurate measure:
