Carrie Metcalf

Practice Manager

Carrie began working in the veterinary field in 1990 at Butte-Oroville Veterinary Hospital while in high school. In 1997 she received an Associate in Science Degree in Animal Health Technology from Yuba College and became a Registered Veterinary Technician. She moved to Gilroy and was employed at San Martin Veterinary Hospital for the next 2 years, until a greater opportunity came along. For the next 4 years she was employed at Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital, a general, specialty and 24-hour emergency practice, as the hospital nursing supervisor for 35-50 supportive staff in 5 departments.

Enjoying the fast paced life in a large hospital in Santa Cruz, family came first as always and she moved back to the Chico area to be close to her ill sister and grandmother. She has been with us since April 2004 and enjoys the slow pace, small staff, and the family atmosphere that Evers Veterinary Clinic has to offer.

Carrie resides in Chico with her 3 cats “Ickus” “Nala”, “Zulee”, and “Smitty” a rescue dog from Mexico (through small dog rescue). When she is not working she enjoys spending time with family, friends, pets and is a huge hockey fan of the San Jose Sharks and enjoys watching and attending games.
