Dr. Jean Liljegren

Veterinarian, DVM

Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist

Dr. Jean is a 1986 graduate of the University of Minnesota. She has been with Grassland Veterinary Service since 1989 building the companion animal portion of the practice. She resides in Neillsville with her two children and husband Al Harmening. Hobbies include gardening, martial arts, and needlework. She is a member of the AVMA, NWVMA, WVMA. Professional interests include preventative medicine, nutrition, surgery, dermatology, and getting to know her clients.

Dr. Al Harmening

Veterinarian, DVM

Dr. Harmening is a 1987 graduate of the University of Minnesota. He is a current member of the NWVMA, WVMA, AVMA and AABP.
His special interests include herd health and consulting for overall dairy herd management. He enjoys gardening, fishing, and golf. He lives in Neillsville with his wife Jean, and two children, Jillian and Clayton.

Dr. Mike Strobush

Veterinarian, DVM

Dr. Strobush is a 1983 graduate of the University of Minnesota. He is a current member of the NWVMA, WVMA, AVMA and AABP.
His special interests are herd health and nutrition for dairy herds. He enjoys skiing, water sports, and hunting. His home is in Neillsville with his three daughters.

Dr. Jeff Engrav

Veterinarian, DVM

Dr. Engrav is a 1998 graduate of the University of Minnesota. He is a current member of the NWVMA, WVMA, AVMA,AAEP and AABP. Jeff's special interests include equine work, and dairy herd health. He enjoys golf, archery, and shooting sports. His home is in Neillsville.

Dr. Kevin Ratka

Veterinarian, DVM

Dr Ratka graduated from the University of Minnesota college of Veterinary Medicine in the spring of 1999. He is a current member of the AVMA, AABP, the WVMA and NWVMA. He prefers to do dairy work of all kinds, having been raised on a farm in northern Minnesota. Kevin enjoys hunting, and lives with his wife Kathy in Neillsville.

Jeannette Bymers

Office Manager

Jeannette has been a member of the GVS team since 1983. She is a graduate of MATC with an associate degree in Science. In her spare time, she and her husband Mike and son Payton enjoy camping, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and golf.

Wendy Lindner

Veterinary Technician

Wendy, our head technician, is a native of Loyal,Wi, growing up on a dairy farm there. She graduated from Madison Area Technical College as a Veterinary Technologist in 1995. She also received her certification to become a C.V.T. that same year. She has worked with us since June 1995.
Her interests include training her dog, Maggie, and gardening. She lives with her husband Chris and daughter Katlyn in Loyal.

Danae Stieglitz

Veterinary Technician

Danae graduated form the Madison Area Technical College in May 2001 and became certified in June 2001. She currently resides on a dairy farm south of Greenwood with her husband Nick. Danae's hobbies included horseback riding and pampering her dog and three cats.

Lori Peterson

Receptionist

Lori is a Madison native. She and her husband Jeff have a daughter Amanda.
They reside on a cranberry marsh in the Prey area.
She also competes in dog pulls with her malamute,Indigo.

Kim Metzke

Veterinary Assistant

Kim and her husband Kevin live in the Greenwood area.
She enjoys dog grooming, and is also an elementary school teacher.
