Description

Our mission is to enhance and promote the human-animal bond and to improve the health and welfare of the animals in our community.
Holly Tree Animal Hospital was designed by Dr. Shrum to facilitate the highest levels of diagnostic medicine and surgery in a pleasant and comfortable environment.
We provide state of the art radiology and surgery areas, as well as intensive care and isolation areas.
We also have complete in-house laboratory facilities to allow accurate, timely diagnosis of many diseases. Our referral laboratories provide the highest quality testing with a quick response time. These allow us to care for your pet in the best manner possible.
Holly Tree also offers a well-stocked pharmacy to fill your pet's prescription needs, as well as a small retail store that offers high-quality and prescription foods for your pet. We also provide professional dentistry.
We are very proud of our hospital and will provide you with a tour whenever possible. Please speak with Marcia to arrange one.

Dr. Steve Shrum
|

Veterinarian/Owner

Dr. Steve Shrum is a graduate of North Carolina State University. After practicing one year in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, Dr. Shrum practiced in Ocala, Florida for three years. He relocated to Greenville to open Holly Tree Animal Hospital. Dr. Shrum is a member of the Greenville and American Veterinary Medical Associations, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Greenville Humane Society. He and his wife, Peggy, enjoy fishing, hiking and canoeing. He is a railroad enthusiast and is crazy about Wolfpack athletics.

Dr. Heather Gleaton is a graduate of USC Honors College and a 1998 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. During her junior and senior year she did extensive nutritional research for Ralston Purina. Her research results were presented at their annual symposium in St. Louis. She is a member of the AVMA and the GCVMA. Her husband, Ralph, is an assistant solicitor for Pickens County. Dr. Gleaton joined Holly Tree as an associate in June, 1998.

Our office Manager, Marcia Harris, originates from Fairbanks, Indiana. She moved to Ocala in 1992 and worked with Dr. Shrum there. She relocated to the Greenville area with her family, to manage Holly Tree Animal Hospital. They live on a farm outside Simpsonville with their two horses, two dogs, and two cats.
