Our mission is to fulfill the needs of our clients by providing high quality health care services for their pets through a responsive, caring, and professional staff with emphasis on individual attention. From routine preventative care to orthopedic surgery, we strive to help ensure that your pet is as happy and healthy as can be. Dr. Rick Odegard, and Dr. Clay Seright are highly skilled in diagnosis and are knowledgeable about the most advanced and best treatment methods available for your pet.
Kindness Animal Hospital was founded in 1985 in Grand Forks by Dr. Rick Odegard. We have worked hard to build our reputation as the finest veterinary clinic in the area. Our veterinarians are members of the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) and the NDVMA (North Dakota Veterinary Medical Association).
Whether caring for the family pet or assisting you with your herd health management program, we will work with you to decide what is the best treatment possible.

Dr. Rick Odegard

Veterinarian
|
|
Dr. Rick Odegard graduated from Iowa State University in 1982 with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. He was licensed in the state of North Dakota in 1982 and bought Forx Veterinary Clinic in June of 1985. He renamed it Kindness Animal Hospital. Dr. Odegard is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and has served as First Vice President and President of the North Dakota Veterinary Medical Association (NDVMA).

Dr. Clay Seright

Veterinarian
|
|
Dr. Clay Seright graduated from Iowa State University in 1995 with his degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He earned his license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of North Dakota in 1995. Dr. Seright made the transition to Kindness Animal Hospital in March of 2001. Dr. Seright is a member of the AVMA and the NDVMA.

Licensed Veterinary Technician

|
Jan Homstad graduated from the Medical Institute of Minnesota in 1973 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. This was the second graduating class of veterinary technicians from MIM. Jan has been a true pioneer of veterinary technology. Jan was licensed to practice veterinary technology in 1980 (the first time the state offered veterinary technology licensing) in the state of North Dakota. She was one of the first technicians to come to Kindness Animal Hospital in July of 1985. Jan is also a member of the North Dakota Veterinary Technician Association (NDVTA), where she has served as Treasurer,
and was the the Veterinary Technician of the Year for 2001. Mother of two grown children.

Sarah grew up in Sauk Rapids, MN. She is currently a student at UND and will be applying to veterinary school after graduation. She has a cockateil named "Jack" She is truly the backbone of Kindness Animal Hospital and with out her we would be lost.

Licensed Veterinary Technician

|
Desiree grew up south of Grand Forks. She received her first horse at the age of 4 and all though she enjoys working with all animals, equine medicine is her first love. She graduated from Ridgewater College in the spring of 2003 with an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. She completed an externship with us as well as with the University of Minnesota and then started her veterinary technical career with Kindness in March of 2004. Desiree owns numerous horses, dogs, and a cat named "Armani".

Alecia is originally from Grand Forks and moved to Fargo where she graduated from NDSU with a bachelor degree in Veterinary Technology. She interned with Kindness in the summer of 2006 and is now working full time. She has two golden retrievers named Max & Missy, and recently got a kitten named Jinx.

Veterinary Technician

|
Brianna started at Kindness in September 2006. She grew up in Litchfield, MN and attended Ridgewater Collage in Wilmar, MN where she graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. She interned at Lake Region Veterinary Center in Elbow Lake, MN with an emphasis on Equine studies. She owns a cat, Keebler and has horses back home on her parents farm.

Jennifer grew up in Spokane WA. Has been stationed at Grand Forks AFB, with her husband, since 2005. She joined Kindness January 2007.
