From the beltline, take the Capital Blvd. exit. We are 2.1 miles north of the beltline on the right hand side, next to Blockbuster Video.

From the Wake Forest area. Travel on Capital going south, towards downtown. When you come to the light at the intersection of Capital, Buffalo and New Hope Church Rd., make a U Turn. You will now be traveling north on Capital. After you make the U Turn, look to your right and you will see Centura bank, Applebee's Restaurant, KFC and Blockbuster Video. Take a right just after Blockbuster (into the shopping center entrance) and then a quick left. We are the first building on the right.

Dr. Jon Dick

Veterinarian, DVM

Dr. Jon and Nikki have been married for about 6 years. They opened the hospital in September 1998.
They have 12 cats at home: MacKenzie Williams, Bob, Cameron Dean, Carter Fox, Miss Honey, Tory, Mr. Fantasy, Lincoln, Peyton Rose, Whitey, and Junior and Bella Buckeye, Trystan, their dog. Trystan thinks that she is a big cat and loves them a lot more than they would prefer. They also have one cat that lives at the animal hospital named Savannah Victoria.

Nikki D'Ambrose-Dick

Office Manager

Nikki has been working in an animal hospital since she was 16 years old throughout high school and college. She has enjoyed working with animals. They have taught her a lot about unconditional love.

Dr. John and Nikki were married a month after Magnolia opened. They opened the hospital in September 1998.
They have 12 cats at home and Trystan, their dog. They also have one cat that lives at the animal hospital, Savannah Victoria. Dr. Jon and Nikki found her at a gas station in Virginia. Someone dropped her off a month before. They fell in love with her immediately. She is a wonderful hospital cat and the entire staff enjoys having her with us.

Nikki recently started "The Barkery" in the lobby of the animal hospital. We offer homemade treats for your special dog or cat. Come by and check it out!

Tamryn Coots

Veterinary Assistant

Tamryn has been at Magnolia for six years now and she loves taking care of animals! At home she has an English Springer Spaniel named Molly Moo, 3 Doberman Pinschers named Veyda, Hera and Keller, and an Australian Shepard named Dixie Lou. In addition she also has four Siamese cats ( Pang, Sari, Tonka, and Koi), a two DSH named Teeka and RaeRae. Tamryn has a warm side for cold blooded creatures too!

Linnea Theisen

Veterinary Assistant

Linnea moved to N.C. from Warwick, N.Y. She graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Animal Bioscience. She wants to attend NC State Vet School. At home Linnea has 2 horses ( Fiola and 'Z'), a mule named Marvin, and a potbelly pig named Fugitive. In addition she also has a Saluki mix named Glory, a Boxer/ Pitt mix named Scooby, a cute little Beagle named Shiloh, a Beagle mix named Raleigh, and 3 Plotthound Mixes named Jake, Tunie, and Brindle.
Linnea finally made a feline addition; her new blue bi-color ragdoll is Miss Sugar.

Christopher Tolley

Veterinary Assistant

Chris was born in Tuscon, Arizona. Chris enjoys working with animals in order to bridge the gap between pets and their owners through education, application, and admiration of our pets, each with their own special personalities.
At home Chris has 2 female Chihuahuas named Kit and Jasmine.
Chris and his wife recently made a new addition to their human family, baby Kaitlyn.

Shannon Mitchell

Receptionist

Shannon is originally from Shreveport, Louisiana. She doesn't have any pets, but she does have farm animals. She has 2 horses (Angel and Spike), cows and goats.Shannon has two children named Jazmine and Jadaisha. Shannon is currently going to Wake Technical Community College, studying Health Sciences.

Michelle Pate

Animal Care Manager

Michelle comes from Wilson, NC. She has three Shih Tzu's named Kewe, Valley, and Ozzie. She also owns a maltese named Dallas. She enjoys being around animals.

Jessica Shorts

Receptionist

Jessica comes to us from Four Oaks, N.C. She is 23 years old. Jessica came to work with us because of her love for animals. She has seven cats named Diamonte, Tootles, Daisey,Don Juan, Pheobe, Tippy, Skidmark, and Bosco. She also has 3 dogs named Jelly Bean and Denzell (great dane mixes), and Belle, a lab mix. She would like to continue her education and pursue a career in phlebotomy.

Molly Allen

Receptionist

Molly is orginally from Asheville, N.C. but living now in Raleigh. She is 23 years old. A former supervisor reccomended Magnolia to her as a great place. Molly also indicated that she felt really comfortable at her interview. She has a Boxer mix named Macy, a Lovebird named Gancho and two Goldfish. Molly plans to pursue a career teaching at-risk youth.

Caitlin Hume

Animal Care

Caitlin comes to us from Knightdale, N.C. She is 17 years old and currently attending East Wake High School. Her furture plans are to attend a 4 year college. Caitlin has an Australian Cattle Dog named Callie and a three-legged shepherd mix named Dixie Grace. She enjoys being and working around animals.

Jason Nichols

Receptionist

Jason comes to us from Los Angeles, CA. He is 28 years old. Jason has worked in other animal hospitals in Raleigh in animal care and reception.
Jason has four pets: Timmy, a long haired Chihuahua, Cowboy, a Sheltie, a Cornsnake named Vito, and a bearded dragon. He plans to continue his experience in the veterninary field.

Meghan Sullivan

Animal Care

Meghan comes to us from Bailey, NC.
She is 22 years old and is going to be wed in October of 2006. Meghan loves animals and enjoys working here at Magnolia. She has many pets of her own including a black Lab named Cash and a mini dachsund named Penny. Meghan also has 2 cats named Flame and Precious. Her exotic pets include 2 Chinchillas named Merle and Daisy, a Cockatiel named Petey, and a Hedgehog named Kiwi. Meghan is currently enrolled at the Gamewarden Academy for the state of North Carolina.

Ashley DeMichelle

Receptionist

Ashley lives nearby in Cary, NC. She is 19 years old and would like to thank her dad for helping her find this job. Her love of animals and taking care of them is what brought her to Magnolia. At home she cares for three cats, Boots, Coca, and Gizmo.

Kimber Simmons

Animal Care

Kimber is from Knightdale, NC. Her love of animals brought her to Magnolia. She currently attends Wake Tech where she studies nursing. Her animal family at home consists of 3 dogs, a boxer Max, a jack russell Reggie, and a lab Maggie.

Crystal Singleton

Veterinary Technician

Crystal is 25 years old and is originally from Canton, NC. She is now attending NC State Veterinary School and is aspiring to work at a small animal practice after graduation (2008!). Crystal came to work at Magnolia after having one of her pets treated here for a respiratory infection. She was impressed with the doctors and staff and the treatment that "Brodie," her border collie mix, received. Her dogs Brodie and Sunny, a yellow lab mix, are both shelter rescues.

Jessica L. Allen

Animal Care

Jessica is 19 and recently moved from Corning, NY. She began working at Magnolia shortly after her move. She enjoys pets both at work and at home, where she has three labs, Duke, Maggie, and Buddy. Her future plans are to attend school to pursue nursing or perhaps become a teacher.

Dr. Allison Canter

Veterinarian, DVM

Dr. Allison attened NC State University at the undergraduate level. She received her DVM degree from NC State College of Veterinary Medicine. She is originally from South Carolina but has lived in the Raleigh area for about ten years. Dr. Allison currently lives in Holly Springs with her husband Tim, three cats, and their dog Snickers.

Dr. Stephanie Crow

Veterinarian, DVM

Dr. Stephanie also attended NC State for both undergraduate and doctoral degrees. Dr. Stephanie comes to us from King, NC, but currently resides in Raleigh with her husband Chris and their boxer dogs named Ruby and Mr. Beegoos. They also have a guinnea pig named Tater Tot and a fish named Mr. Tuxedo.

Krystil Hamm

Receptionist

Kristil, originally from northern California, moved to North Carolina in 1999. She was working for another veterinary office but was bringing her cats to Magnolia when she heard about a job opening. Currently, she is working part-time and on-call as she and her husband Tony wait for their family to grow through adoption. At home they are kept company by two cats, a white short-haired name Oscar and a tortie seal point ragdoll named Cozette.
