Travel Directions

The Northwood Veterinary Hospital is on the north side of Anderson at the junction of State Road 9 and 109. It is just north of the Peyton Wells Autoplaza.
Coming from the Indianapolis area, take I-69 to exit 26. Turn left and follow State Road 9 about seven and a half miles to the point this four lane road merges into Business 9. The road is a divided highway and you must go beyond the hospital and then return. Continue north a short distance until you can make a U turn and come back to the hospital.

Description

The Northwood Veterinary Hospital is a practice that contains three different segments. The local practice cares for dogs, cats and other small pets. The emergency practice is open from 6 p.m. until 8 a.m. each day and from Saturday at 12:00 to Monday at 8 a.m. The third practice segment is referral surgical practice that accepts surgery referrals from veterinarians around the state.

Staff Members

G. Timothy Lee, DVM

Director of the hospital, Practice limited to surg

Dr. Lee Graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine and then spent two years in the Air Force. After returning to Anderson, he practiced at the Edgewood Veterinary Clinic for 4 years before founding the Northwood Veterinary Hospital in 1971.
Dr.Lee's practice is limited to referral surgery in the areas of orthopedics, neurosurgery and soft tissue surgery.

Joy Dvorak, DVM

Staff Veterinarian

Dr. Dvorak has been at the hospital for three years. Her clients know of her thorough diagnostic and treatment habits. She has proven her skills in the diagnosis and treatment of difficult medicine cases.

Greg McDaniel, DVM

Staff Veterinarian

Dr. McDaniel is a graduate of the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine. Since he joined the hospital, he has been a great addition to the areas of medicine and surgery.

Jason Landwerlen, DVM

Veterinarian, DVM

Dr. Landwerlen is a graduate of Purdue University. He has shown interest in all phases of medicine and surgery. He cares for local patients and occassionally works on the emergency staff.

Uta deHaas, DVM

Veterinarian, VMD

Dr. deHaas is a recent graduate of Purdue. She divides her time between local practice and emergency practice.

Clark Bassett

Veterinarian, DVM

Dr. Bassett has worked with pets in the emergency practice for a great number of years. He has been a major reason the emergency practice is available for 24 hour care for pets.

Melissa Justice, DVM

Veterinarian, VMD

Dr. Justice comes to us from a small animal practice and has made the emergency practice her career. She has made the transition to an emergency practice very smoothly.

Jill Sackash, DVM

Veterinarian, DVM

Dr. Sackash has a full time practice in Fort Wayne, so she has to limit her time a Northwood to the weekend emergency shifts. She also brings a large amount of knowledge from her other practice experiences.

John Reutman, DVM

Veterinarian, DVM

Dr. Reutman was one of the earliest veterinarians in the emergency practice. His daytime practice is too large to permit much beyound an occassional shift.
