Pet Care Center, located in Wauchula, Florida, opened in January 2000 and has enjoyed remarkable growth and acceptance in Hardee County and the surrounding areas. The veterinary clinic is owned and operated by Dr. Ross A. Hendry, a qualified professional with 35+ years experience in all phases of veterinary medicine. This full service animal hospital features state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment including a laser unit, which offers bloodless surgery. The extended office hours and dedicated and experienced staff compliment all the services at Pet Care Center.

Ryan majored in biology at the University of Florida and has had years of experience as a technician in veterinary technician emergency clinics in South Florida. This highly qualified young man assists in surgery, does routine dental care, blood chemistry work, x-rays and has a host of other impressive skills.

Judy Johnson handles the front desk at Pet Care Center and came to us with more than eight years experience in a veterinary hospital. Judy greets all our clients and enters their pet’s information into the computer. She is also responsible for billing, coordinating client communications, and is also a very capable assistant if the veterinarian needs help.

Groomer

Pat Roberts, our groomer at Pet Care Center, takes her job seriously and does more than make a pet pretty. Pat checks each pet for fleas, allergies, ear mites, fungal infection, dental problems, and skin conditions. The dogs are bathed, blow dried, hair trimmed, nails clipped (and sometimes painted), and when owners pick them up, they are delighted with a pet that is free of fleas, clean, comfortable, and cute.

Kim Webb began working for our low-cost vaccination clinics when she was in high school. After she completed her Associates Degree at South Florida Community College, she began working full-time at Pet Care Center. Kim is a very capable surgical assistant. She is also responsible for patient care and hospital supply management.
