The Plattsmouth Animal Hospital P.C. was established in the beautiful, hilly, wooded riverside community of Plattsmouth, Nebraska in 1966. Plattsmouth is a bedroom community to the Omaha - Council Bluffs metropolis and is next door to Bellevue/Offutt Air Force Base/Strat Comm Headquarters. Plattsmouth's population is about 7000, with Beaver Lake, Copper Dollar Cove, and Buccaneer Bay developments adding about 4000 more inhabitants.
The veterinarians with the Plattsmouth Animal Hospital P.C. work with almost all domestic pets, food producing animals, and equine. Llama, buffalo, ferret, iguana, ostrich, caged birds, and other reptiles frequent our exam rooms. We are on the edge of a rural area and try to accomodate those clients coming from great distances from surrounding communities. Appointments are preferred. Plattsmouth Animal Hospital P.C. offers boarding for those pets of our regular customers.

Dr. Charles Stoehr DVM

Dr. Charles Stoehr is the senior veterinarian on staff. Plattsmouth is his home town, and he was raised on a farm on the Platte River, and educated in Plattsmouth Community Schools. After securing his BS and DVM degrees from Kansas State University in 1966, he returned to Plattsmouth and established the Plattsmouth Veterinary Clinic P.C.(now named the Plattsmouth Animal Hospital P. C.) in downtown Plattsmouth. The hospital has been at its present location since 1973. While at Kansas State University, Dr. Stoehr was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, Alpha Zeta and Blue Key Honoraries. He was a Captain in the Air Force Reserve and currently is a member of Rotary International, and the Nebraska and American Veterinary Associations. He and his wife Beverly are the parents of three grown children, Dawn, Scott, and Robin.
Dr. Stoehr has a special interest in small animal surgery and feline medicine. He enjoys tennis, travel, skiing, biking, and hiking.

Dr. Larry Stuckey DVM

Dr. Larry Stuckey has been with the Plattsmouth Animal Hospital since 1972. He is a native of Leavenworth, Kansas and received a BS and DVM degree from Kansas State University in 1969. He was raised on a dairy farm along with his brother John, currently a veterinarian in Phoenix, Arizona. While at Kansas State University, Dr. Stuckey was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, Alpha Zeta, and Blue Key Honoraries. After graduation he was on the staff of the KSU Veterinary College, was a Captain in the Air Force for two years, and joined Plattsmouth Veterinary Clinic in 1972. Dr. Stuckey and his wife Jan are parents of three grown children; Todd, Travis, and Marsha.
Dr. Stuckey enjoys hunting, fishing, gardening, tree planting and harvesting. He is active in Optimists and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Dr. Stuckey has a special interest in Equine and Bovine medicine.

Dr. Scott Lubben has been on staff since 1990. He was born and raised on a family farm near Burr, Nebraska. He attended Northwest Missouri State University for two years before finishing his BS and DVM at Kansas State University. Dr. Lubben has a strong interest and background in agriculture, farm and companion animals. He has a special interest in bovine reproduction.
Scott is married to Karen (Damme) and has three children, Angela, Matthew, and Jeremiah. He is involved in Kiwanis Club and enjoys family camping, golf, softball, and Nebraska football. The Lubbens are members of the First Presbyterian Church of Plattsmouth. Dr. Lubben is a member of the Nebraska and American Veterinary Medicine Associations as well as the American Associations of Swine and Bovine Practitioners.

Dr. Elizabeth Nelson DVM

Dr. Elizabeth (Lissa) Nelson has been on the staff of Plattsmouth Animal Hospital since 1992. An honors graduate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Dr. Nelson completed her DVM degree from Iowa State University in 1983. She spent 1983 through 1992 in Alaska, working primarily with dogs, cats, and exotic pets. She was a race veterinarian for the Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race in 1984 and for the Iditarod in 1992. Hailing originally from Albion, Nebraska, she and her husband, Rick, and daughters Synneve and Krista reside south of Murray. Their menagerie includes four horses, two dogs, and lots of barn cats. Exotic pet medicine and caged avian medicine are two of her practice specialities

Dr. Robin Hill DVM

Dr. Robin is a Plattsmouth native and graduated from the Plattsmouth Community School system. She attended Kansas State University and received her BS in 1998, followed by her DVM in 2003. She joined the Plattsmouth Animal Hospital staff following graduation in the summer of 2003, Dr. Robin has special interests in small animal dermatology, internal medicine and surgery.
Dr. Robin and her husband Charles, live in the Buccaneer Bay area of Plattsmouth, with their two dogs, Pepper and Rawling. She is also owned by her two cats, Callie and Rosella. Dr. Robin enjoys running, exercising, most sports, entertaining, and her book club. She enjoys working with the young people in the community schools to heighten their interest in all aspects of veterinary medicine and becoming veterinarians.
She is a member of Rotary International and West Bellevue Church.
