Shaffer Animal Hospital was founded in 1999 by Dr. Jeffrey and Kendra Shaffer with a dual purpose: to provide the best possible care to pets and piece of mind to their owners. We have always strived to build and maintain a reputation for excellence and satisfaction amongst our customers, and are extremely proud of the results. For the past year, we have been helping to keep the pets of Oviedo healthy and happy.
We believe that it is through communicating with you, the pet owner, that we can both work together to give your pet a happy and healthy home environment. Pets are an important part of all our lives, and we want nothing more than to ensure that your friends remain with you for a long, long time.
The Shaffer Animal Hospital is affiliated with the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the American Kennel Club (AKC), the Vet Emergency Clinic and the Central Floridal Ferret Friends.

He specializes in ferret medicine. When he is not working he likes to go bass fishing and do outdoor activities.

Belinda became interested in animal behavior when she realized a good portion of clients gave up their pets due to behavior problems. Her goal is to educate the owner in order to prevent as well as treat these problems to reduce the possibility of pet surrender. Believe it or not - early prevention is as easy as basic obedience in puppies! Also, many problems in older dogs can be treated with basic obedience as well. Is your pet having a problem? Call her!

Known mostly as just Bo, he can be spotted laying on top of computer monitors, getting into open boxes, running to the rescue for cats in distress, walking across the keyboard, or trying to con us into feeding him some treats. He also loves to get into tight places and have his picture taken. He is a one of a kind clinic cat that everyone loves.
