Dr. Swango has practiced in Polk County Florida since 1974. He started working in his first veterinary hospital when he was 13 years old and still loves to study medicine and surgery and come to work each day. He has had the privilege to treat dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and in the past most Zoo animals (Hippos, Camels, Kangaroos, Gators and Primates) but today mainly dogs, cats and birds.
Dr. Swango appreciates the fine dedicated team he has working with him.

Keahau has been with our team since May of 2000. She has a great deal of experience with hospitalized patient care. She assists Dr. Swango and Tammy with appointments and when needed for surgeries. She makes sure that the clients have what they need and want to take the best care of their families pet(s).

Tina has been with us since July 2002. She has two years past experience at a small animal practice in Fort Lauderdale. Tina floats around the hospital assisting everyone with appointments, in house treatments, surgery and can run blood chemistries. She's always willing to help,has a warm personality and is always wearing a smile. She also makes sure every prescription food is there for the pets.
