Darrell R. Berry

Doctor/Owner

Dr. Darrell R. Berry is a 1989 graduate of Oregon State University. He is part owner and manager of the Timpanogos Animal Hospital and the American Fork Pet Clinic (5 years). Surgery, especially orthopedic surgery, is of special interest to him.

Dr. Berry is married to Katherine and is the father of five children. He loves to sing and is a member of a barbershop quartet called the Stylists. He currently serves as director of the Utah Valley Skyline Chorus in Provo, Utah. He also loves the outdoors, especially snow skiing.

Wynlee Decker

Doctor

Here is what Dr. Wynlee Decker has to say about herself. . ."It was clear at a very young age that my future would contain animals, and lots of them. Thanks to very patient parents, my childhood was full of orphaned birds and unfortunate creatures of all types. I had pets of every conceivable size. I grew up and attended school in Logan, Utah, graduating in 1990 with a Bachelors in Bioveterinary Science. I attended Colorado State University that fall, graduating in 1994 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. My special interests in school included oncology and exotic animal medicine. In 1991 I married my best friend, Robert, who is now a biomedical engineer.

There has never been a time in my life not shared by animals. Currently, the Decker household consists of two elderly greyhounds, Kip and Jeepers, who are retired racers. They serve as ambassadors for Second Chance Greyhounds (the local greyhound adoption agency). They sleep about 18 hours a day to make up for all that running when they were younger. Kip and I are registered with the Delta Society as a Pet Partner Team. We serve through Utah Animal Assisted Therapy Group, visiting area nursing homes, hospitals and schools. We have a small aviary populated by six pairs of various finches, softbills and quail. Often my spare room houses any injured wildlife that happens to cross my path.

Veterinary medicine is the marriage of the two greatest loves in my life, animals and learning. My greatest joy is in educating and assisting those who feel as strongly as I do about the value of life and the human animal bond. I enjoy working with exotics and wildlife, and, in general, just fixing what is broken."

Sharmon Gilbert

Doctor

Sharmon N. Gilbert says, "I have always enjoyed working with animals. As I grew up I found animals and medicine interesting, so veterinary medicine became my goal. I grew up in South Jordan, Utah, with many types of pets. I particularly enjoyed showing horses. I attended Utah State University and earned a B.S. in Bioveterinary Science. At Washington State University I earned my D.V.M. degree. My husband and children (3) are very important to me and we all enjoy spending time with our dogs and horses."
