Description

Veterinary Associates is a six veterinarian mixed practice located 3 miles from Xenia and 12 miles from Dayton, Ohio. Practice consists of three facilities. The main hospital near Xenia has a well-equipped, full-service small animal hospital, plus facilities for large animal treatment and surgery. The office in Jamestown is a small animal facility equipped for routine out-patient procedures. The Cedarville office is not currently accepting patients.

Brett Ellis, DVM

Chief Operating Officer

Dr. Brett Ellis graduated from The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 and has been with Veterinary Associates since. Dr. Ellis is both a large and small animal veterinarian and performs acupuncture on all species.

Jon Ellis, DVM

Owner

Dr. Jon Ellis is the owner and one of the original founders of Veterinary Associates.

Suzanne Ellis, DVM

Chief Medical Officer, Small Animal Medicine

Dr. Suzanne Ellis graduated from The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She practiced for a period of time at a small animal hospital in Huron, Ohio, before joining the team at Veterinary Associates. Originally from the Cleveland area, Dr. Ellis now lives in Xenia with her husband (Dr. Brett Ellis), children, and furry, 4-legged friends.

Gloria Harrison, DVM, MS, dACVIM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Gloria Harrison graduated from the University of Wisconsin- School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Her primary interest is with horses. She has previously worked in a mixed-animal practice and in an all-equine practice. She is also board-certified in large animal internal medicine (a diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine). She obtained a Master’s degree (MS) in veterinary science, with research in equine laryngeal hemiplegia (“roaring”). She is from Wisconsin originally, where her family has Arabian horses. She would be pleased to present seminars/topics to your local horse clubs/groups as scheduling permits.

Jodi Moorman, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Jodi Moorman has been with Veterinary Associates since her graduation from The Ohio State University in 1990. She is a general practitioner, treating both farm and companion animals. Her special interest is in rabbits. Dr. Moorman is originally from Utica, Ohio. She now lives near Xenia with her husband and children, dogs, cats, rabbits, and other assorted creatures.

Jody D. Strong, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Strong is a 2000 graduate of Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She came to Veterinary Associates shortly after graduation, and focuses on canine and feline medicine. Special areas of interest include small animal surgery--both orthopedic and soft tissue--and small animal medicine.

Elissa Wilson, RVT

Veterinary Technician

C.P.D.T. (Certified Pet Dog Trainer)

Elissa has a special interest in animal behavior counseling and runs our "Canine Kindergarten Capers" puppy socialization classes, available throughout the year. Please click on our Newsletter for additional information about our puppy classes.
