Dr. Kane is a University of Florida-Gainesville graduate and member of the AVMA and Florida VMA.
For 16 years he has been a board member on the Alumni Council at University of Florida. Dr. Kane was chosen 1995 Business Leader of the year by the Chamber of Commerce. In 1999, he received the prestigious community service award for Veterinarian of the Year. Dr. Kane has served as president of the Hillsborough County Veterinary Medical Society and Chairman of the Animal Advisory Committee. He sits on the Board of the Humane Foundation of Animals.
Dr. Kane has been featured on NBC, Fox and ABC television as well as in the Tampa Tribune & St. Petersburg Times for his many accomplishments in veterinary medicine. Dr. Kuebelbeck received her veterinary degree from Kansas State University and completed her internship and surgical residency at Peterson and Smith Equine Hospital in Ocala, FL. She then came to Brandon, FL. to co-found the Surgi-Care Center for Horses. Dr. Kuebelbeck's professional interests include both orthopedic and soft tissue surgery (arthroscopy, ASIF, gastrointestinal and respiratory) as well as sports medicine. As a guest speaker at the University of Florida, Dr. Kuebelbeck has presented Resident Seminars on the topics of equine dystocia, intra-adobinal adhesions and lower leg fractures in the horse. Dr. Kuebelbeck has presented at other symposiums and surgeon's conferences as well as written articles for "Veterinary Surgery." In her free time, Leann enjoys running, biking, gardening and riding horses.

Dr. Andrea K. Wright DVM, MVSC

On staff at Surgi-Care Center, Dr. Wright grew up in Colorado. Her interest in showing horses led her to a career in wquine veterinary medicine. Dr. Wright attended Colorado State University for her veterinary degree. Upon completion, she survived an internship at Peterson & Smith Equine Hospital, Ocala, FL. Her residency and masters program in large animal internal medicine was done at Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Dr. Wright's interest are neonatal foals and reproduction.

On staff at the Surig-Care Center, Dr. May received her DVM from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 1994, followed by an internship at Peterson, Smith, Matthews, Hahn & Slone Equine Hospital, Ocala, FL. She spent one year in a large animal private practice prior to entering her residency. Dr. May completed ther Masters program and residency in Large Animal Surgery at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2000.

Dr. David R. Malone, Jr. DVM

On staff at Surgi-Care Dr. Malone received his veterinary degree from Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama. After graduation, Dr. Malone bounced around in different fields of veterinary medicine trying to find his niche and is currenty interning at Surgi-Care Center for Horses in Brandon, FL. for sixteen months. Dr. Malone's professional interests include ambulatory practice, arthroscopic surgery and race track cases that do not read the book (weird cases). David enjoys fast cars, five gaited American Saddlebreds, and throwing the football.
