Our hospital is located on Dam Road just north of M-55 one mile east of the Rite Aid store at the business loop, Fairview Road, M-55 intersection. It is easily seen from M-55 after passing the golf course and creek on M-55. Coming from the M-55/M-33 intersection, Dam Road is four miles east of M-33. If you have a large animal appointment, use the southern driveway, pull around to the west side of the building and come to the LA reception desk before unloading your animal.

Dr. Ron Risley earned his bachelors of science degree at Michigan State University in 1976 and in 1978 graduated as a doctor of veterinary medicine. Dr. Risley joined our practice in 1980 as an associate veterinarian and is now the owner of West Branch Veterinary Services. Dr. Risley and his wife Connie have 3 children; Mandy, Ryan and Rebecca. Dr. Risley enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and paintballing.

Dr. Tracy Goodroe joined our team in May of 2000 shortly after graduating from MSU. She and her husband Dan have a dairy farm in Sterling where they are currently milking 160 head. Tracy enjoys spending time with Dan, their new daughter Ann and their cats Josephine and Betsy Ross.

Dr. Scott Smith graduated from the University of Missouri's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. He joined our team in 2003 and has been our primary equine doctor since. He and his wife Lisa live in Rose City where they raise, train and trial AKC registered beagles.

Dr. Sara Bartlett grew up in Conneticut and graduated from Purdue University's School of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. Dr. Bartlett started working with our team in 1990 and after a short absence from 2000 to 2002 she is back to our practice doing small animal work. Dr. Bartlett has 2 daughters and many pets. Dr. Bartlett enjoys traveling in her spare time.

Tina Agge started working with us in early 1996 after graduated from Delta College with an associate degree in applied science. Tina was one of the original board members of the Ogemaw County Humane Society and helped the organization foster several animals during her time as a board member. Tina and her husband have 3 dogs and 3 cats and just moved to a new home West Branch in 2005. They enjoy camping, hiking, fishing and entertaining their pets in their spare time.

Buffy Galer is a 1988 graduate of Fairview Highschool and a 1991 graduate of MSU's Veterinary Technology program. Buffy has a special interest in educating people about animal health and also holds obedience classes under the name of Hardy Hounds Obedience. Buffy is also a member of K-9 search and rescue. Buffy has 2 sons with her husband Wade and several dogs.

Kelly Foster has worked with us since 1997. Kelly is a graduate from T.L. Handy High School in Bay City and was trained as a veterinary assistant at the Cherry Bend Animal Hospital in Traverse City. Kelly also helped organize and start the Ogemaw County Humane Society where she served as treasurer at the Society's beginning. Kelly and her boyfriend Jeff have several dogs and cats. Kelly enjoys camping and sightseeing in her spare time.

Leann Sharrow has worked with us since January of 2000. She was trained as a veterinary assistant by West Branch Veterinary Services and prior to joining us here owned and operated 3 hair and nail salons. Leann also assisted with a doberman rescue mission for many years. Leann and her husband Bill have 3 dogs and 2 cats and enjoys spending time with them.

Lynn begain her love for veterinary medicine while still in highschool when she volunteer at a veterinary hospital. She has worked with us since 2001. Lynn and her husband Chad have 2 children Erin and Alan and many large and small animal pets. Lynn has multiple interests including 4-H pony club, volunteering at the school, and owning and operating her own grooming facility within our Practice.

Rebecca is a student of Purdue University's on-line veterinary technology course and is a recent graduate of Ogemaw Heights High School. Rebecca is very intersted in volunteer work with pets in the nursing home environment and has been with us since 2002.

Patty Ehinger is a recent Ogemaw Heights High School Graduate and is currently attending Delta College. Patty will be attending Michigan State University in the fall of 2005 to pursue her dream to become a Veterinarian. Patty has 2 dogs and 6 horses and enjoys showing horses in her spare time.

Christina Drabek has worked with us since 2000. Christina is a 2002 graduate of Michigan State University. Christina recently moved into her new home in West Branch that she shares with her 2 dogs. Christina enjoys working on her boyfriends farm and trail riding in her spare time. Christina's position with our team is small and large animal assistant.

Sherry Heath has worked with us since 1999 as a receptionist and currently as the front office supervisor. Sherry and her husband Jeff have 4 dogs, a cat, and rabbit. Sherry is the "mom" of Dani and Buddy our WBVS mascots that our seen a lot around our office.

Mary Gehl has been with us for longer than any other employee. Mary has worked as a veterinary assistant in the large and small animal divisions and as a receptionist in the large and small animal divisions. Mary and her husband Pat have 2 daughters, 3 dogs and several cats.

Diane Ross is a 1978 graduate of Macomb County Community College with an associate degree in Veterinary Technology. Diane has worked as a veterinary technician for 18 years and is currently one of our receptionists and our billing manager. Diane and her boyfriend Tom live on several acres with their many outdoor and indoor pets. Diane enjoys hiking, camping, traveling and weight lifting.

Kathi Betke became a licensed veterinary technician in the state of California in 1986. Kathi has worked with us since 1994. Kathi is currently our large animal supervisor and our inventory manager. Kathi is a proud mom of many indoor and outdoor pets including dogs, cats, goats, horse and cow.

Connie is the wife of Dr. Risley and has worked as our bookkeeper since 2001. Connie has also been employeed by the West Branch/Rose City School district for 15 years. Connie and Dr. Risley have 3 children and Connie enjoys quilting, reading, camping, fishing, and vacations at the couples cabin in Newberry, MI.
