Dr. Dale Steele
Owner and Veterinarian
Dr. Steele graduated from Purdue University in 1975, and opened Westwood Hospital for Animals in 1977. He is the primary owner. He lives at home with his wife, Jean, and 3 sons. He is very active with his church and his son's baseball teams.
Dr. Scott Fifer
Owner and Veterinarian
Dr. Fifer graduated from Purdue University in 1987. He is part owner of Westwood. He lives at home with his wife, Sarah, son David, daughter Rebecca, and 1 cat. His hobbies include bird watching and Geneology.
Dr. Marcia Dawson
Veterinarian
Dr. Dawson graduated from Purdue University in 1995 and began working at Westwood that same year. She lives at home with her husband Doug. She has 2 grown children, and a new grandson. She breeds Scotties and has 2 cats.
Debbie
Office Manager
Formerly a client, Debbie joined Westwood in 1992. She lives at home with her husband, Larry and 4 Golden Retrievers. She also breeds Golden Retrievers and has 2 champions.
Sandi
Office Assistant
Sandi joined Westwood in June 2000. She lives at home with her husband, Dave and 7 Golden Retrievers. Together they co-founded GRRACE (Golden Retriever Rescue and Community Education.) They are no longer members of the board, but are still quite active with the organization.
Megen
Office Assistant
Formerly a client, Megen joined Westwood in July 2000. She lives at home with her husband, John, and 2 Boxers, "Tyson" and "Mya." She is the clinic's "Boxer Lover."
Dave
Public Relations
Dave joined Westwood in September 2000 after retiring from 34 years of teaching art to high school students. He lives at home with his wife, Carol. He has 2 daughters and 2 grandaughters. He is the first person to greet every client that walks through the door.
Elizabeth
Office Assistant & Tech-in-training
Elizabeth first encountered Westwood through a work-study program through her high school. She has continued to work hear and learn procedures that will help her with her studies in the Veterinary Technology program that she will be applying for in the fall.
Jamie
Registered Veterinary Technician
Jamie joined Westwood in July, 2001. She graduated from Purdue's Veterinary Technician program in December 1998. She then worked at a mixed animal practice in Valparaiso. She lives at home with her husband, Dave, 2 cats, "Moe" and "Tigger", and hedgehog, "Emery".
Donna
Veterinary Technician
Previously a client, Donna joined Westwood in 1990. She lives at home with her husband, Tom, 2 dogs and 1 cat. She is the clinics "German Shepherd lover."
Sarah
Office Assistant
Sarah joined Westwood in 1996. She lives at home with her husband Barry, son Charlie, 2 cats, and lots of fish.
Amy
Registered Veterinary Technologist
Amy joined Westwood in Feb. 2001. She graduated from Purdue Universitie's Veterinary Technician Program in December 1999 with her Associates Degree. She then pursued her Bachelor's Degree in hospital administration. She finished school in December 2000. She lives at home with her fiance Terry.
Cheri
Registered Veterinary Technician
Cheri joined Westwood in the summer of 2000 when she completed her externship for Purdue Universitie's Veterinary Technician Program. She graduated with her Associates Degree that December. She is in the process of completing her Bachelor's Degree in hospital administration.
Dr. Jacqueline Busch
Veterinarian
Dr. Busch has been in companion animal practice for 2 1/2 years. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine. She has special interests in surgery, dermatology, and taking care of the senior pet. She lives at home with her husband, Scott, 3 dogs, and 1 cat.
